Go Ask Alice is one of the most memorable books I've ever read. It had a huge impact on me and I related to 'Alice' instantly. A must read for any teen going through a tough time!
A must-read! This is an easy, short read, but it's very powerful. It's been a while since i've read it, but I remember it having a big impact on me when I did. A staple for any booklovers shelf.
I read Go Ask Alice many years ago. One of the best things about it is because it's a first hand account of her actual life, simply her journal entries, this is not a preachy book. It simply shares her real experiences, thoughts and feelings. The reader automatically has compassion and concern for the writer and allows them to recognize that they are not "bullet proof". I honestly think all young teens or preteens should read this and have a copy of it. Go Ask Alice is a classic book, You Betcha anyone who reads it will get something good out of it.
This is like one of the best books I've ever read! It's so amazing and sad. I teared up reading this book.Yes this book is as bit graphic, but when you get past that it's an amazing tale that needs to be read.
I read this book like 12 years ago and I still remember this book. It is a strong read about a very powerful topic. I do believe everyone needs to read this book at least once. It is a book that will be a classicas it has been around for many years,
When I was in grade 8 my jr. high required all students in my grade to read this book in English class. I did feel the topic of the book was maybe a little inappropriate and heavy for that young of age, but I understand why they made us. This book really stays with you, and really shows you the struggles of addiction and how it can happen to anyone. I think all teens should read this, and it for sure makes you think twice about some situations that teens often find themselves in.
This is a great book very sad and very destructive it is a story about the downward spiral of a teenager in the 70s.There was some controversy I remember that it wasn't true. But I enjoyed it very much I remember it really affecting me as a teenager and I couldn't get the story out of my head.I think they even made a movie out about it.
This has always been one of my favorites. Although it is definitely not uplifting, I feel like everyone can relate to some aspect of the author's life. Everyone at one point or another has felt like they don't fit in. (If you haven't, well, consider yourself very lucky!!) It is also a great cautionary tale of exactly how dangerous that lifestyle can be.
This book is very popular, I read it about 5 years ago, but it had a strong impact on me. This is not just a book for teenagers, it's a good read for anyone of any age. It is about a girl who experimented with drugs and the whirlwind experience she has. It is a diary of what goes on with her as she goes through this experience. I don't know anyone who's read it and not been glad that they had.
