The Harry Potter series defined my childhood. I grew up with these books and it is clear that JK Rowling knew her audience was growing up as well, since the issues her characters face and the style of her writing changes. Her work matures beautifully and her story grows increasingly complex in this installment of the HP series. Beautiful crafted, heartbreaking at times, and a tremendous story of friendship and perseverance.

I hate to admit it, but I am just now starting to read the Harry Potter series of books. I love the ones that I've read so far. They are full of adventure and so many twists and turns. It keeps me on the edge of my seat. I love reading a few chapters late in the evening.

I am a 28 year old female and I will admit, the Harry Potter series is still one of my favourites. The writing isn't mind-blowing, but the overall story and characters are so captivating. I didn't want to put it down. This book in particular is one of the best of the series. By this time, J.K. Rowling had adjusted her writing to include parents (along with children) as part of her demographic.

I love all the Harry Potter books... it one of the best stories ever told. I just finished re-reading the last 200 pages of this one because it's SO much better than the movie version ending (and I just binge watched all the movies over the past week). It's really hard not to be in love with the characters and they seem like old friends since I've read the books so many times. Beyond the wildly inventive new world Rowling created, the story is incredibly well spun, and also carries archetypes which resonate through human history - the hero's quest, good vs evil, truth seeking, rebirth. Spoiler Alert: Harry lives. He is after all the boy who lived!

This is the final book in my favorite series of all time. Book 7 is as good as the previous 6 and ends the story beautifully. J.K Rowling is a fabulous writer, I re read this book every holiday season.

A great ending to a wonderful series. I was turned onto these books by a university professor. I fell in love with the story from the first book. This was the book we all waited for to find out how it would all end. And it did not disappoint. I am sad to see the end though. I am hoping that there will be more in the future to follow the characters through their lives. Can't wait to start reading these books to my daughter.

This whole series is just fantastic - you laugh, you cry, you cheer, you cringe. J.K. Rowling is the master of story telling. The characters are well developed and make you fall in love/hate with them. The story line is compelling and amazing! Best series of your life!

I really enjoyed this whole series. I appreciated the fact that it entertained my mind as a young teenager, then as a young adult and still even now I enjoy reading them.
It was also a great help with getting kids to read who didn't like reading. Great story, well written. YOu really got to know the characters.
