Do not follow the package instructions!

When cooked as per the package instructions, the pasta was still hard. I added cooked sausage, covered with lid and let sit an additional 5 minutes. The pasta was still a bit overly al dente. The sauce thickens too quickly for the pasta to cook properly. The flavour was excellent, very savoury, tomato forward and well seasoned.

Oh, volati!

I discovered volanti shaped pasta. It is delightful, tasty, pleasant. I liked the quick method of preparation and the sauce combined with the pasta. I would buy it again even though I tried this as part of the review club.

So delicious

i got this pasta to test and i am really glad i tried it out. You can prepare it very quickly and it doesn't take any effort. By adding the indicated amount of water, the pasta will cook perfectly. it has a delicious and rich taste. The garlic taste is not so strong which is great too. I highly recommend it.

Love Knorr products. Will definitely buy again!

Great value for the money. Now will become a staple in my cupboard. You can definitely taste the tomato,basil and garlic flavors. I use a lot of Knorr products and have always been pleased.

It's ok

I'm still on the fence about this one. I felt the basil was super overpowering but enjoyed that it was an easy meal/side dish to make. I just ate it plain and did not add anything to the pasta. I was shocked at how the sauce was more like a true pasta sauce and not just some seasoning on noodles mixed with water.

Add in options!

This was such an easy dish to put together; I really appreciated that you only needed water and olive oil - no milk or butter! The instructions were easy to follow, but I did find that although the pasta was cooked in the time indicated - it still seemed a bit thin sauce wise so I returned to heat and cooked a bit longer. I also decided to throw in some halved cherry tomatoes and a bit of fresh basil to the pot and it was really yummy! I liked this type of pasta noodle as well. Bold Flavour!

I received Knorr Tomato, Basil & Garlic with Volanti Pasta for free from Family Rated in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was so excited to try this one as the flavour combination sounded phenomenal! I really loved the taste, it reminded me of sun dried tomato pesto which I love. Unfortunately the pasta just wouldn't cook and was super chewy. I gave the pasta an extra 2-4 minutes past the recommended 8 and it didn't seem to make any difference. It was a bummer because the flavour was so good. Wish the pasta would have been just a bit softer.

I do really like the fact you only have to add water & olive oil as we try and avoid adding dairy or butter/margarine to our dishes. That's a bonus!

Overall my family and I really liked the flavour and would be willing to give this another try.

Easy pasta in just 10 minutes

This is one of 3 Knorr meals that I got for free to try. It is really easy to make and you can get a meal enough for one person in just 10 minutes. I did find that this tomato sauce was a bit too sour for my liking. I also would suggest cooking the pasta for longer than 8 minutes or cover the pot when cooking. Otherwise, the texture of the pasta is too firm. I would suggest putting in some meat so that it soaks up some of the flavor as it I find it a bit salty. For this price, I think it is a good value when you are short on time, but for health-wise, I would still prefer to make my own sauce to go with my pasta. I find that you can’t really control the saltiness of the sauce because you are throwing in the sauce powder. I would still try out some of the other flavors that Knorr offers but this tomato and basil sauce was not something that I really enjoyed.

Not bad

. My opinion , not bad. I would of like a little more salt but that’s just my taste, it’s perfect for someone single that would like to have something a bit more home made with out all the fuss of making it from scratch. It’s enough for 2 people to share but you don’t get any leftovers.

I was able to whip this meal up very quickly and conveniently after a long day at work. It was delicious, but had A LOT of garlic to it. I realize that it's 'Tomato, Basil and GARLIC' -- but I could taste garlic the next morning. That's not to say the product isn't tasty or worth the cost, I just wouldn't necessarily get this particular flavor in the future.
