I'm definitely a drugstore makeup girl, so splurging on high end makeup is scary. I read tons of positive reviews on the Lock-It foundation so I wanted to jump on the band wagon.
The foundations texture is extremely thick, so blending evenly for me was difficult. I tried a damp beauty blender, a brush, my hands but nothing can blend it nicely on my skin. Even with moisturized and primed skin I could never perfect it.
In addition to that, applying other products made it even worse. On multiple attempt's I've tried bouncing bronzer on my forehead with a brush, and I ended up removing the foundation underneath, creating a splotchy texture.
I also find that I need to be heavy handed to cover any blemishes, which for me is not a good thing since the foundation is already thick to begin with.

This foundation is think and is sticky, and very hard to blend out. It has medium coverage, but I have so much trouble blending it out let alone adding layers for coverage. It looks thick on the skin and stays tacky all day which is kind of gross feeling (personally). It clings to dry patches and doesn't feel moisturizing. I also find that this foundation looks orange over my rosacea spots, which is odd for a high end foundation. I would recommend Nars Luminous or Estee lauder double wear, or tarte amazonian clay foundation over this one. I think it would be better for oily skin if you want to even out your skin tone but don't need extreme coverage.
