I've tried a few different foundations over the years, but always return to the Lancôme Teint Idole line. The line has gone through a few changes but so has my skin! I remember a matte formula quite a few years ago when that was the rage, but am glad that they have a lighter formula now. Still great coverage and easy to work with.

I like the level of coverage for everyday wear. It covers redness and blotches nicely. You can also build up the coverage if needed. It is still long lasting and is still quite smudge proof like the old formula.

I think it's a little pricey, but a little does go a long way.

Lancome Teint Idole Fresh Wear has been my go to foundation for about 6 years. It is a very thin (read: runny) formula, that goes onto your skin amazingly thin and natural looking. Ivory 2C matches my skin tone perfectly throughout the winter.

I put a small amount (pea size) on the back of my hand, and use a stippling brush to apply sparingly to my tzone. I then use the same brush to buff the foundation outward. Teint Idole covers any redness and blemishes, and blends seamlessly.

My skin is combination, mildly oily on the tzone and dry on the cheeks. I get the occasional blemish now and then, nothing major but they do leave a lot of red discolouration. Teint Idole Fresh Wear lasts a full work day without wearing off, and remains matte until I get home. I do need to use oil blotting sheets during the summer when it gets really hot outside, but this is not necessary during the summer.

Highly recommended to those who want a natural look, but have uneven skin tone. Pricy, but be sure to take advantage of gift with purchase options when you restock at Sears, Shoppers or Sephora. I find the Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Foundation to be similar in texture/application when you apply it with a stippling brush, though it doesn't remain matte as long.
