Better for dry scalp

I like this product for when my scalp is starting to get flaky. I wouldn't use this product to get rid of product build up. That would be better solved by an actual anti residue shampoo. This product doesn't really lather. So I use it every week or so just to stimulate my scalp and whenever it's feeling extra dry. Followed by a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Deduction for the price. It's a little expensive at my local drugstore.

Real deal

I got this as a sample and I absolutely love it. I most probably will buy this. I didn't know this was what I was missing in my hair care routine. I always have dandruff even a night after I wash my hair, but this one gives me no dandruff. The apricot seeds feels nice under my fingers and on my scalp. The seeds are real deal I think. Smells nice too.

Gets rid of build up.

This micro-exfoliating hair scrub is a unique product. It's a pre-treatment that I received as a sample along with the L'Oreal Ever Fresh shampoo and conditioner. It is supposed to help get rid of build up. I found that the amount in the package was not enough to be evenly distributed throughout my medium length hair. I did not like the texture of it in my hair but it did seem to wash out easily. After washing the pre-treatment out my hair did feel slightly dry but after following it up with the balancing shampoo and conditioner that came with it moisture was restored and my hair was left looking and feeling soft. I probably wouldn't purchase this product. I think this would be better suited towards those that wear heavy hair products or that have an oily scalp.

Hair too curly to get on scalp?

I have very curly hair and was excited to buy a product that would help with product build-up on my scalp. I followed the directions but I could not really get the product on my entire scalp. It would have taken hours to sort through my curly locks to get the scrub on my entire scalp. I was disappointed that I spent $8 for a product that I won't use again. I use a lot of mousse to control my curls and now have substantial build up on my scalp. I have tried washing more than once but my hair is already dried out as it is. Not sure what else to try. Suggestions?

Not For Me

I guess this product just isn't for me. I can't say if it worked or not. I just didn't like the feel of the small particles on my scalp and in my hair. Felt like my scalp was full of sand. I did appreciate getting the free sample though, so that I would know what it was like.

Initially skeptical but shocked at the result

Initially I thought "why do I need a scrub for my hair" so I only used a tiny amount. I was able to work that amount through medium length hair no problem and noticed a difference in my hair before I even started with the shampoo. I would probably not use it on a regular basis but definitely on a months possibly even weekly

never used something like this before

I've always only used shampoo & conditioner so that was a very interesting product for me to try. L'Oreal sent me a trial size of this and I do like it a lot.

Pros:
- removes impurities and buildup (perfect for the summer when you're grimy from the pool or just dirt from the outdoors)
- smells like I'm at the salon (might be a con for others because of the chemical scent, but it reminds me of a professional experience)

Cons:
- adds an extra step to my routine

Overall, I can't complain, I do wonder whether there's a limit on how often I can use this product. I don't think you should use it with every shower since it could be unhealthy to be constantly stripping your hair down.

Extremely drying

I received this in the mail as the 3 piece set with the scrub, shampoo and conditioner. Followed the directions with the scrub first which feels exactly the same as body scrub and basically felt like it sucked the life out of my hair. And is really hard to rinse the beads out. Feels like a head full of sand lol. However the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing. And after some strong rinsing and letting the conditioner sit on my hair for about 5 minutes when I dried and styled my hair it didn't feel much different. Good smell but just your basic shampoo and conditioner. As for 'hair scrub' I dont think I will be purchasing any in the future!

It is amazing.

I got this as a sample as well as the shampoo and conditioner. This is a pre-treatment before you shampoo and conditioner. I wondered how well it would work? It worked awesome it felt to me when I was putting it in that it was adding weight to my hair, but when I washed it out it made my hair feel so much lighter and having thick hair it removed the build up that I didn't realize my previous shampoo was leaving in. It is an awesome product and I will definitely go and buy it again.

I received a sample of the New Loreal Micro-Exfoliating Scrub for your hair and it was amazing as it gently removes excess oils and dirt leaving my hair feel amazing and the aromatic smell of the apricot seeds made me feel like I was at the spa.
