Most people I know who use this mascara consider it a life saver. I, however, find it difficult to use. Some background may be necessary. If you're looking for a mascara that's going to last forever (as in, the three-month life span of mascara) that will simultaneously elongate and thicken your lashes, this is probably perfect for you. It has a big brush with close-set bristles and a thick formula. However, this brush has been my downfall. I have naturally long and thick lashes, and this mascara clumps on me like crazy! I get little dots of mascara on the end of my lashes that are impossible to get off with an eyelash comb, and end up picking them out.
My second problem is that, by the end of the day, half of it is under my eyes, and I have to rub really hard to get it off. I can go days without wearing mascara and still find marks under my eyes after I wake up or wash my face from this mascara.
I know that it works really well for a lot of people, including my mom, who hasn't used a different mascara for years, but it is not for me. If you find it on sale, it might be worth trying. I know that some of these problems are only particular to me. But for full price? Fugheddaboutit!

This is my daughter's favorite. I thought I'd try it. It is too gunky at the beginning, but after it a few usages, it begins to be very good. However, when the tube starts to dry a bit more, it becomes gunky again, and flaky, so its life span is very short. Good if you have it at the right time, the right consistancy, when you want to impress at how great your lashes are!!!!

The mascara works really well, but it gets really clumpy after a few weeks. Also, the wand really sucks. It just get really clumped up after awhile and doesn't do anything

So I bought two tubes of this mascara because it was on sale (4 bucks! wow) and I guessed that jinxed it. I've heard it being compared to Bad Gal lash which I don't love that much either but it was so affordable that I had to try it. It got super clumpy, not that lengthening and the volume started out really great but it all got stuck together.

It does look great as one single sweep, very natural and separated but I'm a big lash gal and this just didn't cut it.

I've bought this mascara on three occasions and I just don't like it. The third time I bought it in Carbon and it didn't make any difference. I find it's messy and my lashes get stuck together. I hear great things about this mascara and unfortunately it didn't work for me. This mascara is overrated IMO.

I had high hopes for this mascara upon reading other people's reviews. For me, this product is a night mare to wear and take off. It smudges within a couple hours leaving me with racoon like eyes. Furthermore, it takes forever to completely remove the product from your eyes. I use oils to take off my makeup and they generally do a very thorough job but with this product, I wake up with mascara smudges. =(

I've used this product twice now and have been very disappointed. I usually love Loreal products, but in this case, it just doesn't live up to their normal quality. Here's what I've found:

I have fairly thick eyelashes, thought I like them to appear fuller and longer. This mascara accomplished that but only with a lot of work. It's thick and tends to be a bit lumpy coming out of the tube. The wand has a great shape to it, but the mascara is so thick, it globs up on parts of the the wand. Also, because it's so thick, it tends to make my eyelashes stick together - with only one coat. I have to use an eyelash comb to separate them AFTER I've used the mascara. I use a lash curler and comb before I apply my mascara and have never had to comb them again after I applied it. Hope this helps someone make a decision.

I'm usually a fan of L'oreal products as they are a sister brand to Lancome, my favorite makeup, but I wasn't impressed with this product. I had heard so many great things about it in magazine and since I love Lancome and have used other Loreal products and liked them as well, I decided to give it a try. I wanted to see if I could find a less expensive mascara that worked as well as Lancomes.

I purchased the product in it's newest colour: carbon black. I tried it as soon as I got home and wasn't really impressed. It was ok, didn't really clump which is a plus, but it didn't deliver much volume for me. Perhaps if I had kept on going after 3 coats it would have, but I don't want to be putting on mascara for 20 minutes every day. I liked their new extra volume collagen a lot better as it went on smoother, glossier, and thicker.

If you're looking for a lot of volume and thickness I don't think this is the greatest mascara to buy, but I'm really picky about my mascara and now that I've switched to department store brands it's hard to review drugstore ones without being a little bit overly critical. If you want decent volume at a lower price I'd suggest you try the extra volume collagen by Loreal, I liked it a lot better than this one.

I used to use this mascara religiously until I discovered Maybelline New York Colossal Volum' Express Mascara. This mascara is good but not amazing. I like the simple volume it gave me – by that I mean, it certainly gave me volume, it just wasn’t amazing volume (and definitely not up to the standard that Colossal has achieved). It made my lashes darker and thicker, and my favourite part was that it didn’t make them crispy and hard like some mascaras do – my lashed remained feathery soft, which was a huge plus for me.

My only complaint is that the bottle doesn’t do a good job of taking off the excess product as you remove the wand, so there ends up being a lot of actual product on the wand each time (I noticed this more after the bottle had been opened for a little while.) The product comes out very thick (obviously, it’s a volumizing mascara!) which I didn’t like, and made it very messy to apply after a while. It’s ok if you wipe the wand clean and take out some more mascara. Also, because of this the product ends up being very clumpy. I am thinking this is just a problem with the actual life of the mascara – perhaps it doesn’t last as long as some other brands/types and the clumpiness can be attributed to this.

Overall I really do like this mascara – it is a good stand by, and I would go back to it anytime (that is if my love affair with Colossal ends any time soon!)

i first tried this product because i seen it at work in my supervisors desk. she had the regular type that wasn't water proof. I liked it because it did not seem dried out like a few other mascaras i've previously tried. after putting it on i lovved how it made my lashes look long and thick so i went out and bought one for myself. after a while of using it the bristles on the brush seem to clump together and the mascara seems to clump up more. I would recommend using this if you heat it up first. Run it under hot water to let it melt a bit and it should apply on fine.
