I tried this when it first came out years ago and found it to be a great price, however you get what you pay for. Although it provides great coverage, I found it to be very cakey and at times heavy.

In an attempt to find a new foundation, I turned to L'Oreal, only to be horribly disappointed. I picked up the lightest shade, which matched my skin beautifully, a problem I'd run into with previous foundations I had tried.

However, L'Oreal True Match Foundation claims to be oil-free, something I certainly can't see reflected in my skin. Within an hour of putting it on, I'm shiny. All over. Not just my t-zone, which always ends up a little shiny by the end of the day, but my whole face. I find myself blotting on anything I can get my hands on several times a day just so I don't feel like I'm going to drip on something.

Even with a loose powder or a pressed powder applied after the foundation in order to set it, I still get the same results. It just doesn't feel good and while it hasn't caused me to break out (yet) I sure don't find it to be as 'oil-free' as it claims. I wouldn't recommend this foundation to anyone whose skin already produces enough oil as it is. You're just going to end up wiping it all off your face by the end of the day.

I had to quickly find a foundation for school the next day, so I ran to the store and picked up L'oreal True Match. I'd read a few wonderful reveiws about it online,so I decided I should see if it works for me.
It looked amazing when I first put it on, put didn't have to good coverage it just made my acne scars less noticable, but it did have a very natural look to it. When I got to school about an hour and a half later I went into the bathroom and noticed my nose looked a bit patchy, which is big problem I have with foundations. In my third period passing time I checked it again (about 2 hours later) and I noticed my skin was looking pretty shiny, I added some powder and blended it in which helped a lot, but made it look more powdery. After PE (2 hours later) I had to add more powder becuase this foundation dosen't stay on to well with sweat. I got home and looked in the mirror (an hour later) and noticed it did have a slightly powdery look, but mostly looked pretty natural. I had Horseriding a little later and it lasted well though that. Over all I'd say L'oreal True Match matches your skin tone, but I woudn't recommed it for oily skin, or for heavy coverage.

I wasn't too impressed with this foundation. The fact that it advertises its mineral formula made it sound quite appealing, and the fact that I didn't have a great complexion at the time persuaded me to buy it - I was told that mineral formulas are beneficial for your skin. Almost a minute or two after I bought it, I applied it using my fingers onto the foundation I was already wearing. I found that it was quite grainy and had an unnatural yellow hue against my skin - even on top of a previous foundation base. When I applied it by itself the next day, it didn't improve. My family commented that it didn't suit my natural skin tone - and I'd chosen the one that fit into my skin tone best (I bought Light Ivory, fyi). The range of colours is great, but none of them suited me. Like most L'Oreal products, I found it was quite expensive compared to other brands available in British drugstores, e.g. Rimmel London, Maybelline, Bourjois etc. However it did do a reasonable job of coverage despite the graininess and awkward pigment, so the price is reasonable compared to the Chanel Dewy Smooth foundation which I currently use (5/5 rating for that, it's fantastic - and I bought it while it was cheap in the January sales). The packaging was quite attractive and neat, and I think it contained a lot more foundation than I first imagined. But overall, I don't think I'll be trying this foundation again.

True Match did not work too well with my skin (i have oily/combo skin) and I would have to reapply it constantly after 3 hours ish. The bottle design is also messy b/c there's no applicator included and like one of the users commented below - the texture was too thick almost like pudding. It also felt cakey after a while and it made my face feel even more oily and gross after a couple hours. Overall, there are much better products out there than this so don't waste your time!

Sorry to the previous rater, but I am really not a fan of this foundation!

They claim to easily match most skin tones, but I could not find one in mine. Another thing, it does not blend to match your skin tone, whoever came up with that claim, it is false. The skin tone that it is in the bottle, is the skin tone that it is! No true match there!

Another thing is, if you have sensitive skin, stay away! The formula is really heavy on the skin. It also dries out so fast and causes itchyness and dryness! I tried the foundation and told the lady what it did to my skin, and she let me return it.

For the price, I think there are better foundations out there on the market. Or better yet, why not pay a little more for a better quality foundation??
