I LOVE this foundation. It's my first time trying a foundation from Make Up Forever. My shade is 120 (Soft Sand). It evens out my skintone and stays on for the entire night. Of course you have to set it with powder. The foundation works best when paired with the HD Microfinish powder.
My face stays matte throughout the entire night and I don't break out at all so it's a plus! In photos, you can see how good the coverage is. I have uneven skintones on my face. My forehead is a bit darker than the rest of my face and because my bangs are always covering the right side of my forehead, it's a bit lighter. The HD foundation makes it all even.
The price for it is okay since I don't wear it everyday and one pump is enough to cover my entire face.
Overall, I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try any HD make up.

I probably would prefer the Make Up Forever Matte Velvet Foundation. (I love that product by the way) I went to Sephora and asked about it with one of the counter ladies there. She said she hasn't used it yet, but a lot of people were raving about it. To be completely honest, for me anyways, the price was not quite worth it. It is an okay foundation. But I find it works better when i switch up my foundations. If i continued to use it everyday, it started losing it's effectiveness. It says to have light to maximum coverage. It comes with shades light, medium, and dark, and you have to find your tone. It does look flawless at first. I set it with my MAC studiofinish. It stayed on for a while, you know, average. Im oily, so obviously it is going to get oiler throughout the day, so of course I like the Matte velvet line rather than this one. Overall, the foundation is quite okay, but I just don't think it's worth $46. Maybe 30-35$ would be a much more worthier price. I don't like the packaging. It is glass, but the pump, when you run low, you can't even unscrew the pump to grab the rest of the foundation which sucks because I bet there would be a lot left. Im in colour 118. If you have oily skin, do just an anti shine. Use a setting powder. But it does give that smooth soft focused look. It feels very lightwieght. But it does lose its 'HD' look after you layer on the foundation. It's not cakey at all if you don't. Evens out skin.
I chose Fugheddaboutit because I recently learned it is tested on animals. In the future I will not be purchasing from it.

I had high expectations for this foundation when I heard about all the celebs who use it. However, it didn't work on me.

I was color matched to MUFE 123 which was WAY too yellow/golden on my NC35/C4 coloring. The coverage is moderate to full but light in texture. The problem for me was the breakouts that occured after a few weeks of use and the unnatural look. It looks great in dim lighting but in natural light, the coverage is very "fake". Especially as the day wears on, it seems to settle into the face in a way that's unflattering, especially over the upper lip area.

I like the pump dispenser and the color range looks great, but I don't know why I couldn't get a good match for me. The unnatural wear was a huge minus for me - perhaps using a primer might help?

This is NOT worth the money for me ($44 at Sephora). I'm currently using Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation which I LOVE!!

After doing a lot of research on what I was looking for specifically in a liquid foundation, I decided I was going to give MUFE's HD a try. I was ecstatic to get home and try it out. The color was perfect for my skin tone. They had so many different choices it was incredible. I love how it really makes me feel like I don't have anything on & when its paired with the HD Microfinish Powder it does wonders! I would definitely recommend this to a friend without a doubt.

I purchased this foundation after several attempts to find a substitute at Mac for my discontinued Hyper Real foundation. I went to Sephora and tested various products with the makeup artist and Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Foundation yielded the best results color wise and finish wise on my skin. This product is supposed to be a medium to full coverage product but I have to disagree because I find the coverage to be pretty light...it does however, even out my skin tone without feeling like I have makeup on which is a really good thing. I am not into the High Definition hype with cosmetics but I did find that this product works well and that is why I purchased it. I am also impressed that they had a shade that matched my skintone so after 15 years of being a Mac girl I am now a Make Up For Ever girl and hopefully will remain one.

I hate the price. Its 40 bucks a bottle. I know ridiculous. But in my opinion it is work every single penny. As far as makeup goes you can pretty much avoid high end pricey brands and look great with eyeshadows, mascara, eyeliners bronzer and blushes. Foundation, however, needs to be high quality. This foundation is th e best coverage and the most natural finishmy face actually looks flawless.

I was a bit skeptical about this foundation because I wasn't too sure about it. I tried this when I went clubbing and I really like it. It mattifies my combination skin, and leave a dewing finish, which what I liked the most. It doesn't dry or cake your skin. Although it covers mostly everything, you still need to put a concealer on top of your blemishes. YOu don't have to use a lot of concealer given that the foundation covers most of the problem areas. The color of the foundation was the perfect color of my skin, therefore I can just dab it on problem areas such couple pimples on the forehaed and redness around the nose. This blends very well and stays all day, but I had to powder the shiny area (t-zone) throughout the day. It's oil-free, and my sensitive skin did not break out, which is awsome! I wished it were a bit cheaper, but other than those few minor problems, I really like the foundation and I will rebuy it again.

Acne scarring forced me to rethink my foundation needs. After years of using power, I was forced to move up to the strong stuff. After weeks of searching I discovered Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation. This medium to full coverage foundation is perfect for covering up uneven skin tone, leaving you with a beautiful matte finish.

The best thing about the product is the range of shades available (I only support makeup companies that are inclusive in their offerings). Even though I wear sunblock, my skin colour is dramatically different in the winter than it is in the summer, so I always have to buy two different shades. And being a person of colour finding a company that makes that two shades close enough to pull this off is rare (at least in Canada). If you wear liquid foundation, you must go to Sephora or the Bay and try this stuff. It's pricey ($40 a bottle) but It’s flawless and worth it. I love it!

I don't use this often on my own face but this is the go to make up when i put make on on clients on photoshoots etc. I found that this really looks beautiful on camera. Although shine is a no no on camera. I just lightly dust the mufe hd powder and the shine is gone. I find it it has medium but buildable coverage. It really gives a nice dewy look to the skin. I love the range of colors they have. I actually only have 7 of the colors but i mix till i get the color i want. The packaging is nice to have in the kit. It's a must have for my kit!
