Depending on whether you use demi, or semi permanent you will have a different lasting time (1 day to 2 weeks). It has a range of vibrant colours but it needs to be applied to bleached hair, and runs out when your hair gets wet, or when your head sweats. It works best in small coverage areas and for shorter time periods. As well I love teh fact that it is a vegan, cruelty free product.

I love these colours and they don't damage your hair at all but I wish it wouldn't come off on pillow etc

I have been dying my hair for over 5 years now and have found this brand to be amazing! I can change my hair colour every month without it completely damaging my hair. I also love the variety of colours to choose from. And it generally looks exactly like they say it will look. If you feel like a wild hair colour change I would definitely advise this product

I love this stuff. I used to use it to dye my hair bright red when I was in highschool, and even when it started to fade out I still loved the color. Also weirdly I love the smell of it. Just writing this reminds me of the smell. I would love to use it right now, but my work has a weird "no un-natural hair color" code.

I've been using Manic Panic in Hot Hot Pink for about 4 years now and I absolutely love the colour it makes my hair. The only downfall to this product is how quickly it fades out. I usually have to use it every week to maintain my colour.

I bought Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink for a streak in my hair and it turned out great! As far as staying power however, I usually have to recolor within 2 shampoos, but since I only have a streak its worth it. The color is perfect for what I was looking for, it's not too "hot pink" as many of the other pinks I have tried turned out to be! It smells great too, and leaves my (over bleached and damaged!) streak feeling as soft as the rest of my hair.
Good product, I wouldn't recommend if you are doing your full head and don't want to recolor every few shampoos though! But perfect for me!

It's hard for me to write a review about Manic Panic Hair Dye because I've had varying success that is absolutely dependent upon the color.

My most recent experiment was an absolutely failure. I tried the "Raven" (black) and it barely dyed my hair a medium brown, even after using generous amounts of dye and applying heat. That lasted a whole day. I've had better success with different shades of red on my light brunette hair in the past but I can't tell you which. Because this isn't a permanent dye it will fade and red always fades the fastest.

You'll obviously have better results if you bleach first and use shampoos for color-treated hair and some people recommend putting a bit of dye with your conditioner to prolong the color.

Considering the price, though, if you want vibrant and lasting color you might as well buy some permanent dye. If you're just in it for the crazy colors and want something temporary, you might consider Manic Panic but I'd be prepared for possible letdown.

I have been colouring my hair a bright red for almost a year now with a permanent product with my re-growth. But I find Manic Panic works wonderfully in between colours to re-freshen up the brightness when it fades from washing's and the sun, especially on my over processed ends. And it feels so soft and gentle while conditioning my hair during colouring's. I also absolutely love that it's vegan product! My only issue is that I find it a bit pricey at times in Canada,. especially when i see the prices online in the States where it's half the amount. But I still consider it the best product on the market for vibrant colours.
