I got the powerful pink and oh no! It was way to bright and not flattering at all.
That aside it left my lips and surrounding skin stained.
The texture is thick and heavy feeling and didn't glide on at all, it almost has a gummy texture that won't dry.
It also has a stale kind of smell

I don't generally wear bright or dark lipstick, although I tried it and liked it. It has a creamy feel when it goes on and is very easy to remove with the Simple cleansing Wipes. I will definable buy the lighter shade of this lipstick.

I tried this in midnight red at a showcase and it is a lovely fall berry colour! Goes on smoothly, although I did two coats to get good coverage. I usually prefer liquid lipstick for fast, precise, application, but this went in smoothly and seems to be a true semi-matte. Can't speak to the long-wear as its a quick review, but I'm eager to take this colour out with a sweater and boots!

The feel of the lipsticks is great! Very smooth. After drinking coffee the lipstick is still there. Probably will be long lasting. Just not a fan if the red colors, would prefer nudes.

When I put it on, it's smooth. The colour is very nice and it's moisturizing. It feels nice on. If you are a lipstick lover, I think you'll like it a lot.

Wow i did not expect to really like this lipstick! It is smooth and creamy and not drying! The shade midnight red is absolutely perfect! I already see myself wearing it everywhere i go!! Love it! Can't wait to get more shades! #gotitfree

I tried the Midnight Red at the ChickAdvisor Showcase - it's definitely a well pigmented colour and goes on very smooth. For me, I don't think it'd be a daytime colour as I have fair skin, it's a bit too dark for me. But a night out colour, I would definitely use it for. It's a colour that works on many different skin tones. Goes on matte, feels smooth and flatters many skin tones.

Most of the colors aren't really my taste but I like how it went on and I like it's staying power. I really like the matte finish. the packing is great as well, I like the window on the tube so you can see the color.

At chickadvisor in Vancouver. #mksemimatte I just tried the Mary Kay gel semi-matte lipstick in poppy please and LOVE IT. Feels comfortable and moisturizing. Stays in place nicely. I would buy more for sure!

Mary Kay lipstick is very rich and soft on my lips. The Midnight Red color is very strong on my lips and great for night time or for a business lady. It's a light gel formula for soft lips. It contains sunflower oil and jojoba esters to help condition lips.
