Perfect

Picked this up to clean up a few stripped or dirty threads and it worked exactly how I needed it to. The pieces feel solid and not cheap, and everything fit properly without any issues.

It’s straightforward to use and handy to have around for quick fixes instead of replacing parts. Obviously it’s not a massive professional set, but for basic repairs and occasional use, it does the job well.

Overall, a good set to keep in the toolbox and worth it for the price.

Good product

We used it on a sailboat. We needed to add a new piece of hardware to the mast. We don’t really have any other tools like this so we can’t compare. Thank you

Better threader

I used it for a broken bolt in my suv ,turns out that two of the bolts for tires didn’t have as much tread on them as should have so one night we were driving and something felt off next thing knew our front driver tire came off so my boyfriend use this tap and dye set to retread them was a bit hard at first but did get job done

Suitable but no case

I was having dificulty assembling a tier tray, becasue the the threads were stripped on the cheaply made posts. i was able to use the smallest die to repair and cleam the threads. It was useful. It would have been nice if it had a little case to hold the peices together in one place once it was opened.

We used this for our basement renovation. The contractors made a mess before us. It performed really well and were very glad we got a chance to use it!

J'ai reçu ce set de tarauds et filières à tester gratuitement. J'étais ravie d'avoir été sélectionnée pour cela parce que quand on bricole, il y a quand même assez souvent quelque chose qui se visse mal. Ce ne sont pas des outils qu'on utilise à chaque jour, mais c'est bien pratique à avoir dans sa caisse à outils! Je connaissais les filières et les tarauds mais j'ai fait appris l'usage du filon, qui est une sorte de lime à filets. Je me réjouis de la tester en situation. Ce set est en métrique, mais il existe aussi en ''pouces'' je sais que ce n'est pas le bon terme, mais il m'est sorti de la tête en ce moment. Une chose qui pour moi est un gage de qualité est la garantie à vie! ... dans des conditions d'usage normal, mais ça va de soi!
I received this set of taps and dies to test for free. I was delighted to have been selected for this because when tinkering, there is still quite often something that screws poorly.
