I decided to buy this because I saw the commercial and it said it was very moisturizing and I thought the design was very cool. I bought the "Cherry Me" and I thought it smelled so good. First of all I thought $4 was a little much. The actual moisturizing aspect is very average cheap chap stick. It didn't keep my lips super moisturized like it promised. What I did like about the product was that it had a tint to it so you were getting a little colour as well. I also like the design as mentioned before. I wouldn't recommend this product because it's just a expensive chap stick. You can probably get something better or the same for a lot less.
I saw an advertisement for Maybelline Baby Lips in Cosmo and there was something about it that within an hour I had gone to the store and bought it! I LOVE the ad & the packaging, not sure why but there was something about both that just "got me"! I bought the red one and like that it gives me a tint of color. I was excited to experience softer lips after 2 weeks and used it religously. However, after over two weeks I didn't notice a difference between my lips when I used Baby Soft or any other lip balm. I use 2 other lip balms, either Nivea (which doesn't have any tint) or Lip Smackers (I like Dr. Pepper, it also has a red tint). Living in Canada especially during the winters, lip balm is a necessity! This product is not a bad product, however I can get a 3 pack of Lip Smackers for the same price or a Nivea lip balm for about $3.49 instead of $3.99 (the price I paid for Baby Lips). I didn't notice a difference between Baby Lips or my regular lip balms. For this reason I am only rating it as average. Perhaps I allowed myself to get too sold with the advertising that I was expecting a miracle lip balm & ended up a little disappointed instead. However, if I saw it on sale I would buy it again as it's about equal to the lip balms I regularly use. Fugheddaboutit if it's not on sale though, there's nothing really special about it!
I bought this product because I've seen a lot of people using it. I decided to bite the bullet and but it. I did not find anything very special about the product. I worked like any other lip balm . I bought the peppermint one because I love the smell but every time I use it, I get a slight burning sensation. Its not painful just uncomfortable at times. I didn't really seen a difference in moisturizing between this, and any brand from the dollar store. Its an okay product but not worth the $3:50 I paid for it.
I had been wanting these for a while and when I finally had the opportunity to use it, I was not disappointed. The packaging wasn't that great but the product really was. I moisturizes your lips and if you use the colored ones, a hint of color. They are great to throw into your bag and reapply or even before bed. They are great products and I have already purchased more.
I have the clear mint flavour (hoped that it was going to be the same as the old Kissing Coolers Twisted Peppermint -it isn't), and I love it. Beautiful application, stats on ok( although I do not feel 8 hours of continuous moisture).
Excellent for under my brighter lip colors to help tone them down!
Would recommend over most lip moisturizers out there!
I like this product because it's not that expensive, I purchased the Fruit Punch Baby Lips and it smelled really good. I also liked it because it gave my lips a hint of colour but the biggest problem for me was when I was using this product for quite a while I didn't really feel/see a noticeable difference with my lips becoming soft and not chapped anymore.
Maybeline's new lip balm called Baby Lips is a great product to try. I goes on smooth and makes you lips feel soft. it has a subtle shine that I like for everyday use. I tried the Peppermint lip balm and it smells sweet.
I REALLY wanted to like these......and am so disappointed that I can't say many good things about them. I bought the Cherry and Peppermint flavors. Unlike many others I actually really liked the appearance of the tube. I don't need my lip balm to be "classy"......I prefer the bright, fun coloring. I did really enjoy the flavor and texture of both lip balms. They went on very smoothly and had a beeswax texture. Unfortunately that's about the only positive thing I have to say about these :( They didn't keep my lips all that moisturized and on many occasions I actually thought they made my lips feel tighter/drier. They also definitely didn't last for 8 hours.......not that I expected the lip balm itself to last on my lips for the long, but I expected some feeling of softness or moisture at least. Overall I was pretty disappointed with these.....and will go back to my usual balms that I feel work better and cost less.
This lip balm did not keep my lips moisturized. I bought this in the pink color. The color is OK. It's a bit bright for my liking especially for every day wear. I actually don't like the packaging either. In my honest opinion, it looks cheap. I would not recommend this product. I am going back to Burt's Bees.
