Thank you for the opportunity to review this product. I received it through the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. This is not a product that I would splurge on for my makeup kit. Usually I just apply foundation with my fingers but if a blender was necessary I would probably buy something cheaper. It worked really well to apply my foundation and was really effective with the sides for large areas and the tip for fine areas. I'll admit that it was a better experience than using my fingers. I probably wouldn't spend alot of money for this product but I do recommend it if you are willing to spend that much on a blender product.

I think it's a cool idea to have a sponge with a handle so I don't have to get foundation on my hands, and be able to go around tight areas on my face that would allow me to blend certain areas in a different ways but not sure I was blown away. The sponge soaked a lot of foundation into the sponge tgat I'm no sure a lot of foundation made it onto my face. Another small minor issue was that I would push harder on the handle of the applicator to try and get it to absorb on my skin I felt the handle was going to break off. Not the most flexible of handles. What I did like about the blender was that it did blend nicely under my eyes and around my nose with the pointed tip where it didn't require as much pressure. I think I'll be sticking with my regular old sponges.

I've purchased several other brands foundation sponges . . . both that ridiculously expensive one we all know the name of and several imitators. I found the Maybelline New York Dream Blender to be somewhere in between.

I preferred to wet the sponge before applying the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation. It did help to make a little bit of foundation go a lot further, and gave nice even application.

The attached handle made application a bit tricky, and I found I would have preferred to not have the handle attached at all. I also didn't like that the handle allows a place for water and foundation to sit, not allowing me to thoroughly wash (and dry) the blender.

While I really enjoyed the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation, I would pass on the Dream Blender in the future.

I usually use the beauty blender for my foundations and I was excited that chick advisor gave me an opportunity to review the maybelline blender as I have something to compare the beauty blender with. The initial reaction was that the maybelline dream blender was too small to handle and the foundation was not applying on the face properly. The foundation kept rolling off my face without it blending it into the skin and I felt I was using a lot of product on my face rather than the small pea size I usually use. I wouldn't really recommend the product to anyone due to the above reasons and I will not repurchase.

I was excited about using the blender but didn't like it. I preferred my beauty blender or fingers instead. Even using it wet I still didn't like the way my foundation was applied.

I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I thought that it helped spread the foundation on my face fairly nice but it was awkward to use. I felt like it just spread the foundation around, rather than helping work the foundation into the skin to prevent the caked on make up look. I would not reach for this tool again.

I received this as part of the product review club. I had never used a blender before, so I read up on how to use it. This sponge works well, I like that it is on a handle. It blends and smooths lines as intended.....but to me it is not necessary. We were born with 10 blenders!! My fingers work just as well!!

While I WAS interested in this beauty blender initially due to the applicator handle, I think it's more trouble than it's worth. It's very similar to the Beauty Blender micro-blender, but it's much HARDER than the micro-blender. I actually felt like the Maybelline Dream Blender was a bit too rough for use on sensitive/hard to reach places. It was also harder to clean than other blenders because the applicator prevents you from really working soap into it and squeezing it dry.

If you ONLY want a blender for those small touch ups, it might be ok, but it does eat a LOT of product too, just be warned.

(I received this product for review from Chick Advisor)

I received this product as part of Chick Advisors Product Review club.

I just finished reviewing the Dream Velvet Foundation which came with the blender and I want to say again that I LOVED it...

And because I always do my best to be truly honest in my reviews, I wish I could say the same for the blender :( I was super excited to try this product out. In theory, I love the idea. A sponge with a handle so I don't have to get foundation on my hands, and with contours that would allow me to blend certain areas in a different ways.

Unfortunately in execution it just didn't work out that way in my opinion. First of all, when I put the foundation provided on the applicator, it seems to soak into the sponge so much that very little actually made it onto my face. This was a tad disappointing, but I put more on and kept trying. After what seemed like way too much foundation wasted in the sponge, I encountered another challenge - I as tried to apply without it seeping in to much, I would push harder on the handle of the applicator to try and get it to absorb on my skin. I felt like the sponge was going to break off the handle, and didn't want to push any harder.

I really wanted to give this a fair shot though so I tried it with my other fully liquid foundation, just in case it was the mousse style that was sinking in...it was slightly better with a full liquid, but I still felt like I was needing to use far more than I usually do when applying foundation.

It did blend nicely under my eyes and around my nose with the pointed tip where it didn't require as much pressure but the amount I had to use to get coverage for my dark circles just didn't seem right.

I'm so sorry to say that unfortunately I'll be sticking with my regular old sponges on this one...the thought is a good one, but this product just didn't do what I'd hoped.
