It covered really well, however I found i could feel the makeup on my skin, so it felt a bit thick for my taste.
All in all for the price of this product it works fairly well ! It goes on smoothly, doesnt clog pores, and covers really well. Since its a mousse its really easy to apply, it does make a mess a bit if youre not careful and will definitely come off on a scarf or anything close to the face. It also kind of wares off during the day, if you are fine with touching it up every so often its worth a try !
For a drugstore foundation, this is pretty spiffindickity. I have sensitive, combination oily & acne prone skin with some scarring, discoloration...so any make up I use has to be non-comedegenic, mattifying and medium to full coverage - and this is! In fact, it's so mattifying that I only use it in the summer time otherwise it shows off my dry patches on my cheeks from winter dryness. But mostly regular foundations users know they need to change their foundation seasonally due to changes in dry/humidity conditions.
It's quite light weight, very blendable (I use a sponge but can be used with fingers, sponge or brush), medium buildable coverage and has moderately good duration (4-6 hrs) before you need to blot/touch up. For those who prefer a more sheer/light coverage, this can be easily applied sparingly so it just balances out skin tone or build up for medium coverage.
It's housed in a small jar which makes for easy access to the product but make sure to close the lid tightly to ensure it doesn't dry out. You can easily control how much product you want as well as get down to every last drop of it - then reuse the container as a travel size container! Yay!
I've gone through 2 jars of this product, which says a lot for me as I'm normally changing midway through or trying new products on the market...so I can wholeheartedly endorse this as a good go-back-to product. Hope this helps :)
I am always on the search for a light foundation that can cover all my dark spots. These stuff worked wonders and matched my skin perfect. I loved how smooth and silky it felt on my skin and it lasted all day. My only complaint would be how it kind of crumbled in the continer and would fall and get everywhere (I have ruined a few shirts because of the little crumbles). The good thing is I could take a little bit and mix it into the lid and it was good to go.
I love this stuff better than my higer brand foundations and will continue purchasing it.
I personally am not a fan of foundation. When I use powder, my face looks to light. When I use liquid, my face looks too oily. Both made my face feel like I had a lot of make-up on.
Dream Matte Mousse however is the solution to my problems. I don't regularly wear any foundation, but when I want something to just even out my skin tone, I always turn to this. It's really lightweight which is most important for me.
It's not great for completely covering any blemishes or scarring, but it still gives your face a nice glow in pictures and in person. It's a good cheap alternative for anyone who doesn't take foundation seriously.
I used to use this product a lot!
My skin is pretty sensitive, it dries out easy... then when it dries out, it gets very oily.... then I break out. This product was pretty nice with that though. It's smooth so it didnt irritate my skin by just applying it.
It covers pretty well and had a wide variety of colors for each skin tone. It gave me a healthy but matte finish that I really like compared to other mousse foundations.
The price is average and it's pretty well worth the money, I just switched because I've been trying all the new stuff out but I almost picked it up again today, just tried Maybelline mineral foundation instead.
Only thing I don't like this once you get low on it, it begins the crumble and its not as smooth as before, it gets harder to put on... so some advice if you own this or plan to try it: keep the lid on it as much as possible. Washing your hands before touching it or wash your applicators before using too.
I am a lover of Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse. It is hard for me to find the right makeup with the right coverage. Maybelline’s Dream Matte Foundation works very well! I do not have to worry about my blemishes showing up and it does not feel thick or sticky as some Foundations do. I can also find the perfect shade at all times. I jump from a 0 in the winter to a 5 in the summer. My makeup always matches my skin and I don’t have to worry about it coming off before lunch. It also does not make my skin oily; I think that is the best part! I would recommend this to anyone who has a problem hiding their imperfect skin as I do. Maybelline Dream Matte Foundation works wonders!
I really liked how light it felt on my face. It definitally felt different than typical liquid foundations, in a good way. However, it is more money than I would like to pay.
I was skeptical at first because the container appears to be so small, but you really dont need to wear a lot of it. Its amazing how you can dab a few fingers into the foundation and it covers your entire face. This worked great after many all nighters, my under eye dark circles were no longer noticable. The colour matched my skin perfectly and my face felt so smooth and like silk. I would definitely reccomend!
OMG!!
What can't this do?! I love it to no end!
What it does a fabulous job for me: This foundation hides under eye circle, gives me amazing coverage and actually covers a sunburn without pain. I love this foundation especially because it doesn't give me break outs and yet blends in with my skin so naturally you won't be able to tell I'm wearing foundation. If you use the Matte pressed powder you can achieve an amazing natural air brushed look.
What I don't like: Pretty much nothing. The only thing about this is that it applies better in some ways than others. I find you should use really good sponges (I'm quite picky on quality of sponge) while they're wet/damp.
I would deffinitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!!
