This definitely works best with a sponge and I also would use it on my finger as a concealer. I liked it a lot because you can vary the coverage, I have roseca and acne scars so it gave thicker coverage but it works well by just applying a small amount too. I like the colours that they offered and I was able to find one that works both with my skin in the winter and summer. The downside would be that the consistency changes over time, it really nice and smooth when you first buy it and use it but over time it kind of dries out in the container so its not as great.
I find that this is best applied with a spong b/c you can really blend it better. it also gives you a really nice matte finish. it's really light and when you feel your face afterwards it doesn't feel oily, i dont usually put powder of it b/c i feel that it's already giving you that powdery finish
I read that Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation was a total dupe for Lancome's Magique Matte Soft-Matte Perfecting Mousse Makeup (Paula Begoun's Dont' Go to the Makeup Counter Without Me). I purchased it in Toffee, which is Dark 0. I applied it over Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel and it blended really well. I loved the whipped, airy texture. I remember that it felt silky smooth and I was able to achieve medium coverage even though I prefer full coverage. I made the mistake of not exfoliating and not applying enough moisturizer before I applied this foundation so some dry spots that I had were blatantly noticeable. Thank God I didn't wear this outside! This foundation comes in 16 shades so finding a match should be easy, if not easier.
Dream Matte Mousse foundation is great! It's simple to apply and I don't even feel it when it's on. Don't put too much on, otherwise it will get very noticeable. When it starts to expire it will become cakey, so you know when to toss it. I liked that it was simple and compact- easy for travel or to carry in your purse if need be.
