I bought the color Taupe Temp and I love it. The eyeshadow works great dry and wet too! The feel of it is really smooth and silky and much to my amazement it doesn't settle in the creases of my eyelids. It comes with 4 shades a highligh, crease, lid, and liner and they coordinate perfectly. The colors can also be worn alone an work great if you are in a rush and just want to put on the lid color fast and go. I love that on the back there is picture of how they layered the colors for you to copy it makes it easy for those that may be beginners at achieving the look.

I have received this product for review and I am very grateful! This is a GREAT Product! It glides on smooth and blends very well. The sparkles and shine makes me feel especially glamorous. The color range greatly complement each other and look fabulous. This does not cake or flake. I would really recommend this product to anyone who wears makeup!

When I first received 'Sunset Seduction' to review, I got scared from the colors as the selection looked VERY shimmery. But when applied, the colors create a very subtle and natural look. With pre-selected combinations, I usually end up using only 1 or 2 colors from the palette, but Maybelline's quad work very well together. They also stay put as applied, which rarely happens with the shape of my eyes.

Very impressed by the quality of these shadows. The colours go well together and they are easy to apply. I created a subtle look with #50 taupe which looked great with my green eyes and fair skin. Do recommend.

I have been a long-time user of high end make-up like Mac, Nars and Stila. I turn to the make-up counters because I like having someone show me what looks good, and end up buying the products and colours that they recommend. This is my first time back to store-brand eye shadow, and although I loved the colour combinations, I wasn't quite sure about the quality. Well, my first day upon using I was really impressed! The eye shadow felt silky and was easy to apply, and it stayed on all day. The quality was the same as the high-end brands that I have used in the past. It looks like I am a Maybelline girl now :)

Let me just say, I AM QUITE IMPRESSED!

I have always considered companies like MAC and Smashbox to have the best quality shadows, especially in terms of colour payoff, but this is great!! If I am ever in need of a new colour I will definitely look at these first because they are much more affordable than the expensive ones but definitely comparable.

I was in a bit of a rush when I tried these the first time but I found I could control quite easily whatever look I wanted. Because the colour payoff is so good, I would suggest making sure you layer on the colour for whatever look youre doing, just to make sure you dont go overboard. I really like that each individual colour is a bit unique; they're not the run-of-the-mill shades that you can buy anywhere. There is a nice corally colour that I have never seen anywhere else that I am really excited about, and the most perfect taupe!

This eyeshadow is increadibly silky. I don't know how else to describe it! It's just so, so soft! Definitely worth the money, I say!

I loved these eyeshadows! They are definitely comparable to high end brands such as MAC.
The shadows are very pigmented but are very easy to work with! I found it very easy to acheive either a dramatic colorful look or a more subtle look by blending.

The colors were very blendable which is (in my opinion) one of the reasons I would buy and eye shadow to being with because no one wants an unblendable mess on their eyes. So I was very impressed by the capability that this eye shadow possessed!

Taupe Temptress gave me a more romantic and subtle look while Irresistibly Ivy gave me a more dramatic look with the bright blue that was perfect for going out in!

I thought the shadows were definitely high quality and didn't crumble or flake like a lot of cheaper brands tend to do. They also stayed on very well throughout the day (I use MAC eye primer underneath) but I still found that they resisted well to the wear and tear of my everyday life. The shadow barely budges after having it on for hours. :)

I would recommend Taupe Temptress for someone who wants a subtle look and Irresistibly Ivy for someone who wants a dramatic one. I think these are the best eyeshadows I have ever used that I feel would be the perfect "beginners" eyeshadow for anyone who doesn't have much experience with applying make up since they are easily blended. Overall, I loved them and would definitely by them again in other colors as well.

As of right now, my favorite is the Give Me Gold palette. The colors are brighter and it just suits my eye color more. Purple Icon really let me down because I've been craving for purpley eyeshadows for soo long, but the colors don't really POP. ...but color aside, these shadows are AMAAZING! It's a little pricey but that's cuz you get *four* shadows, so I'll let that go... they have suuuch a nice, smooth, silky texture you might as well think you bought it from the department store!

On both of the palettes, the pigmentation is pretty good - not great, but good nonetheless. It's buildable anyway which is a good thing - with just one layer you can use it as a day look, retouch in the nighttime and a add a few more layers for a dramatic look!
One thing is for sure - they definitely BLEND REALLY WELL. I think I overblended with Purple Icon (which lead to my disappointment) and the colors didn't really show that great on camera. It looked like a silvery color instead :S .. so basically it just picked up on the shimmer.

I made a subtle but sexy smokey eye with both colors successfully. They're not that much on the dramatic side, but I wasn't aiming for it anyway. If I just added on a few more layers it's definitely do-able :)

Hands down, awesome product. Gonna go ahead and try out the bolder colors soon!

LOVED this product! I was so excited to receive these in the mail and try them out as I'm a big fan of eyeshadow..I wear it every day and love experimenting. I got to try Purple Icon and Give Me Gold. At first I was hesitant because they looked a bit 'sparkly' to me and I didn't think I could pull it off in my office. Boy was I wrong. These colours were great. The colours glided on so smoothly and NO creases by days end. I was able to do a subtle look for day and go dramatic and night. I would most definitely try out and buy more of these shadows! The only think I didn't like was the application brush it came with...NOT a big deal though since I never use the brushes shadows come with anyway..I don't like the application of them.
Other than the brush these pallets are great and the colours complement each other really well. I'm excited to try out some more and will probably hit up Shoppers within the next week for some more colours!

Like many of the reviewers here, I also received the Maybelline New York EyeStudio Eyeshadow Quad in the mail, courtesy of ChickAdvisor and the Product Review Club. I received two quad sets: "Green With Envy" and "Taupe Temptress".

I absolutely love these eyeshadows! They go on very smoothly - quite silky. The colours are so vibrant and shimmery. The shimmer of these eyeshadows is similar to the quality of the Lise Watier eyeshadows - but for much less money. The more you apply, the more shimmer and density/pigmentation you'll get. The first time I wore this eyeshadow (I wore the colours from the "Taupe Temptress" set), I wore it to work. We are not supposed to wear bright colours where I work, so, a single brush/coat of the colours from "Taupe Temptress" were perfect! I still got the shimmer, without the brightness/high pigmentation. Later that night, I added another coat to what I was already wearing for an evening look - I got more pigmentation and even more shimmer! It was a perfect evening look! I found that I preferred to wear the colours from "Green With Envy" outside of work - only because the colours are brighter (and I love to wear the brighter, more vibrant colours outside of work!)

These shadows are especially great for those of us who like that extra shimmer/sparkle. The colours last all day, without creasing. They are suitable for both a day/work look, and an evening look. I find that it takes a couple of more coats to get a higher pigmentation and more vibrant look, but I absolutely love the sparkles! It is definitely one of my favourite shadows from Maybelline. I really like that these sets come in quads, so it gives you room to play around with the colours. I even mix and match between the quads! I will definitely be going out and getting a few of the other quads!
