Oh no Maybelline, what are you doing?!

Ok, so this is not what any of us deserve to have on our faces. Maybelline, you really dropped the shimmer ball on this one, and unfortunately all of the shimmer particles landed in this primer. My preference when it comes to luminizing face primers are for them to be glowy, not shimmery. When I put a shimmery primer all over my face I end up looking both greasy and metallic, and while the Tinman from the Wizard of Oz is iconic, thats not a look I'm after.

In order to make the most of a bad situation, I will sometimes use the tiniest amount on my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. But I usually just slap this on my shoulders and collar bones to give my body a glow, cause we can't let this baby go to waste.

    Excellent Primer!!!

One of the best Primer that I have used, moisturizes the skin and prepares it for exceptional makeup, the light, refreshes and moisturizes the skin, the packaging despite being small is very yielding, I like the presentation ... Excellent product I recommend 100%.

    Green didn't reduce redness

Although I do like the texture of this primer, and it glides on easily, I saw no benefit. The green is supposed to reduce the appearance of redness. I'll still use it up as it feels nice on my skin, but it did nothing to reduce the pinkness of my cheeks and I don't even have a lot of redness. However, the green "Master Camo" green correcting pen by Maybelline is FABULOUS at hiding redness, it's a little thicker.

Best drugstore primer I have found

I discovered this product several years ago and have continued to buy it since. It works great under my makeup to make it last and is the best value primer I have found. It works great with oily skin.

    Silky smooth finish

I recently started using the blur and smooth primer and I love it! It goes on smooth and definitely grabs my makeup. I use less makeup, which is cost effective. I find I have to use more primer than I thought I would need but I will get the hang of it soon.

This product does its job pretty well! My face breaks out pretty easy and this product hasn't made my face break out unlike most primers which im really happy about! I can apply a small amount and by the end of the day my makeup still looks great!!! The product lasts a long time because it only requires a small amount at a time.

I tried the Master Prime Blur + Redness control. My area of concern for redness would probably have to be my cheeks and t-zone. This primer always sells through at my work, so I decided I'd give it a try.

It does help cancel out redness all day, however, it wasn't hydrating enough for my skin type. I'm very dry and it seemed to Make my dryness for visible.

This primer would be great for someone who has redness and combo/oily skin, as it is not hydrating enough for dry skin types.

I wasn't impressed with this primer, I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.
I found it have a really watery consistency, almost too thin to be effective, and I was a bit worried as I found it to be a bit oily. I didn't break out from it, which is a bonus, but I found that it didn't blur or illuminate. It would probably benefit someone who has perfect skin and just wanted to use it as a moisturizer.

I was recently introduced to primer for the first time, so I'm not exactly a seasoned tester but I fell fast in love with it. I have a LOT of redness on my face, so naturally when I went to buy a primer, this one jumped out at me right away, because the green label one is for blur and redness control. After a couple uses, I was very disappointed because it didn't seem to cover my redness AT ALL. However, after setting it aside for a few days (while my irritated attitude calmed down), I found myself wanting to use it again. Basically what it comes down to, it is an excellent primer, especially for the price - gives your face a smooth canvas to help the makeup sit evenly and stay put. I DON'T find it helps with redness, but it DOES blur your pores and imperfections a tad. Maybe for someone with very light redness it would help more noticeably. It says it can be used on its own - I would never do that, as it doesn't do anything on its own. It's after I apply my makeup that I can tell I put the primer on, as it blends very smoothly and evenly. So all in all, I'm not sure if I would buy it again, I would rather try something else next time (any suggestions anyone?) but the price is right and as a primer it works great.
