I was actually surprised at how well this product kept the shine at bay! I have combo skin so it gets oily throughout the day and I sometimes hate to use oil blotting papers. They tend to take my powder off with the oil! But when I used the Maybelline shine free foundation stick, I did not have to blot all night. The multiple shades were a plus, as I use a darker and lighter one for contouring! multiple use product, not expensive, works well! definitely a good buy!
The only thing I have to recommend is the price of the item. The stick foundation went on very cakey, and did not blend well. It provided decent coverage, but this is something I would NOT buy again. I'll stick to their fit me liquid foundation.
This is a great foundation. Its blends in effortlessly, and covers with a medium coverage. It doesn't leave my face feeling oily. If you want a full coverage foundation this is jot for you
Most foundation sticks are fairly dry but I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it glided 8n the face and how easy it was to blend. It has a light to medium coverage that is totally buildable. ItS perfect for everydaywear. I have fairly dry skin and it works perfectly not drying out my skin.
This product is absolutely fantastic! It has the best coverage ever, I literally use is as a magic eraser for spots and blemishes, it's nice and thick, creamy, and blends super well. It feels really natural on, I can't tell I'm wearing make up! The only problem I had with it is that it isn't completely shine free. Maybe my skin is just suuuuper oily, but after wearing it for a little while (a couple hours maybe), my t-zone was shiny. Still a great product that works super well, but I still dust with a powder foundation after just to really keep the shine away.
I had not seen this advertised when I purchased this product for the first time.
And I wasn't exactly sure what to expect.
But its a little miracle in a tube!
I found it to have excellent coverage. And just enough of a powder finish to keep me from getting shinny. i have combination skin and it seemed to hide and flaws and imperfections quite well.
A drawback would be after usings it almost everyday it did not seem to last very long. It was worth the money and good value but I was suprised when it ran out so quickly!
Having said that I am headed to purchase my second stick!
I was intrigued by this foundation stick for a few reasons: it's a drugstore stick foundation b. it has an "anti shine core" for oil control and c. it's a gel formula.
This foundation has a few pluses: I really liked how blendable and velvety this stick is. It comes in 12 shades so there's definitely a large variety. The price is pretty great too. It's hard to find a decent foundation for around $10, even at the drugstore.
This foundation is supposed to be a matte finish, but I would say it's more semi-matte. The coverage is quite light as well. I usually look for heavier coverage and pigmentation so this wasn't exactly for me but I can see that some people would like it. Throughout the day, I did notice I got a bit oily, I think this one needs to be paired with a powder for sure. It did control oil a bit, but I don't think it did as much as I thought. Overall, decent quality but since I like more coverage, I don't know if I would go for it again.
