Great results

I am loving the Neutrogena T-Gel Therapeutic Shampoo, with the first use my hair and scalp feel so much better, no itchy scalp and no flakes. The smell is not too strong for everyday use.

For years I suffered from psoriasis on the back of my scalp. My mom told me about this shampoo and how she uses it whenever her psoriasis flares up. I've been using it for a week now and haven't had any itch.

This shampoo is a bit on the pricey side (about $15 a bottle) but WOW does it work! I have very long, very thick hair. The longer my hair gets, the more my scalp itches! I don't have dandruff, but I do have a very, very itchy scalp that I sometimes scratch until I break the skin (if this is TMI I am sorry).
My pharmacist recommended that I give this product a try. At first, I thought "what a tiny bottle for $15!" but then I realized that you only have to use this shampoo twice per week - meaning it will really last. The shampoo is an ugly brown color and smells terrible. The smell actually lingers in the bathroom after you shower and stays in your hair until it is completely dry - no matter what conditioner you use afterwards. The smell is STRONG - but that is true of any coal tar shampoo I suppose. I find that I get the best results from this shampoo when I massage it into my scalp, avoiding the length of my hair, and let it sit for about three minutes. (Tip - do NOT use this shampoo for your ends - it REALLY dries them out!) I rinse it out really, really, REALLY well afterwards and condition the length of my hair but not my scalp. Afterwards, my scalp feels squeaky clean and itch-free. The anti-itch properties from this shampoo usually last about two days for me. After two weeks of using this shampoo, my scalp is finally healing. My scalp feels clean (seems to be less oily between washes) and ZERO itch. What a fantastic product for anybody who suffers from itchy scalp. Highly recommend - this worked for me when nothing else did!

Over the past few months, my scalp has become very dry and irritated and I'm not sure why. This has made it very itchy and creates dry skin flakes which can be embarrassing. As a result, I've had to try a few different scalp treatments to try and fix the problem. So far, I haven't found any hair product that has completely cleared my scalp of dry skin, but Neutrogena T Gel definitely makes a difference. It seemed to wash away any dead skin and left my scalp feeling very fresh. My only two issues is that it can dry your hair out quite a bit. So make sure to use a nice deep conditioner after it to moisturize your roots and ends. The second thing is the smell. T Gel definitely smells like a medicated shampoo and the smells stays in your hair until you blow dry it. It is a strong smell, but not a bad downside for the benefits you get. This isn't an everyday shampoo; only use it up to 2 times per week. Overall, it is worth the money and I recommend it to anyone who is having dry scalp issues that a simple anti-dandruff shampoo won't cure.

This hair shampoo is amazing for sensitive scalp! My hair looks great after I use it and it really gets the job done! I also noticed my hair doesn't fall out that much anymore since I started using this

My husband suffers from psoriasis and this shampoo soothes and heals his red irritated scalp. The only downfall with continuous use of this shampoo is that it caused him to have dry itchy scalp. Although it helped him with his one condition, it ended up causing him another problem condition. Great shampoo to use on a short term basis.

I have suffered from psoriasis met entire life , dealing with embarrassing flakes and painful itching. This product has a light smell unlike others. After a few shampoos there is a very noticeable difference

This is a great shampoo for people with a dry itchy scalp. You don't need much of this, a little goes a long way. You can feel this medicated shampoo working while you shampoo. I highly recommend this product.

if you are a person who suffers from psoriasis on your scalp or ears, or chronic dandruff and nothing else works?, then this is the product for you. it relieves ANY itchiness, soreness, cracking, bleeding within 2-5mins of applying it, it will continue to relieve those symptoms for the remainder of that 24hr period. If your symptoms persist, use everyday for a week and you will see, feel and notice a wonderfully huge difference. and it works on any hair or skin type. or if you are a person who uses alot of product in their hair, again this is for you. you get build-up so quickly, however, trying to use other purifying shampoos will strip your hair of it's natural oils which protects your hair so you're actually causing more damage. this shampoo does have a strong pungent smell but after 5mins your rinse it out apply your conditioner, you won't even know you washed your hair with it.

Ok so first of all this stuff stinks. Horribly. As in I will only use it when I have a cold. It's just nasty. But it works. I get bad dandruff during the dry winter months and this is the only product that actually works. So I stick with it.
