Good Start to Home Smart

Easily downloaded NOMA IQ from the App Store and used with a wide range of NOMA IQ smart home products. You basically launch the app, register and install your smart product and follow the instructions within the app. You can create experiences/triggers within to automate and set routines and schedules for all your devices. You can also add all family members and share control as well as enable voice assistant compatible with Google assistant and Amazon Alexa.

These smart plugs could not come at a more perfect time to control our newly purchased Noma pre-lite glacial tree. The 2 pack wall plugs were simple to set up and are easily controlled through the app. A simple flick of the power button on my phone from anywhere anytime can turn the lights on or off. You can also set a timer or schedule so no more forgetting to unplug the lights at night. The kids enjoyed controlling the tree lights!

Easy to pair

So I was given the Noma Smart IQ wall plug from Canadian Tire and Butterly in exchange for my honest review.

After some troubles pairing the smart bulbs that I was also given to test, pairing the wall plugs were a breeze. I simply plugged them in, went into the app and followed the prompts. These are going to save me from having to walk upstairs in the dark late at night. I don't want to turn my hall lights on and potentially wake my children, but turning a side lamp on in my bedroom with a simple button push or a voice command to my Google assistant will be very handy.

NOMA IQ Smart Wifi Wall Plugs

I use a crockpot and instapot but sometimes even in the slow cooker setting, I have a hard time leaving them on and not being home. It scares me. So when I received these plugs I was super excited. One, I can power devices on or off with it and two, I can set a timer from the NOMA IQ app. The app is easy to use and it only takes seconds to get it going and I can be out the door. This isn’t to promote not keeping a watchful eye on your appliances, you have to be careful but I have peace of mind to go run a quick errand knowing I have control of the devices when I am gone.

Smartest invention

Overall, amazing experience using these intelligent plugs.
It's a very easy to install product. Installation was hassle free. Got paired so easily, and the LED Indicator keeps blinking when it flashes. It is easily controlled through phone. I got it attached to my lamp, and humidifier.
It switches off and switches on automatically, as the time has been set up.
It has been amazing experience and glad to have this in busy world of today, when we tend to forget few things.

Super handy Wi-Fi plug to know what's running!

I received the NOMA iQ Smart Wifi Outlet Plug, 2-pk, Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant in white for free for an honest review. This Wifi Plug is so small, so modern and blends in so well with everything else in the house. This little cube is so powerful, it connects to your home wifi and you can control the on/off whenever and wherever you are. The little light indicates whether it’s on, off, or pairing (when flashing). You hold the button for a few seconds for it to begin pairing.

The set-up process was super easy. You download the NOMA iQ app, create an account, add the device, turn Bluetooth on, connect to your home Wi-Fi (make sure it’s 2.4 GHz) and let the app do its job. Within 5 minutes I was able to control the outlet on my phone (see the photo). The interface is so easy to use, just a touch and you know whether there’s power going through the outlet. What a gem! I tested it on a night lamp but I am currently using it for my 3D printer, so I can set a timer for when it needs to go on / off. The 3D printing sometimes happens overnight because it takes so long, the Wi-Fi plug would help give me a peace of mind knowing the power is off when the printing is done (I have an estimate timing) and keep the house safe from unexpected outage.

The ”Experience” on the app is super useful. I used the scheduled trigger to let the plug run to a certain hour (in my case with the 3D printing, at 4am), and it will go off. The timer is super useful for other uses like if you want your Christmas lights on only till midnight, you don’t have to worry about going outside to unplug the lights! And because this pack comes with 2 outlets, I'm going to do that right now!

Great features

After using the plugs, I have to say these definitely are great smart wifi outlet plug. Using these at home and at work has saved me a lot of time. Such a convenient product to own. I also love the design of this plug. The edges are curved and smooth which makes it easy to hold the product and plug in. It has a power button which really helps in controlling the electronics / devices through the NOMA iQ app. The overall setup and connecting process on the app was very simple, straight forward and easy to understand. The wall plugs were setup and connected on the app under five minutes. Also, it was very convenient that I was able to switch off the plug from my phone and anything connected to it. Plus it has a power-on LED indicator light. Highly recommending this product!

Works but Use Case is Low

I initially had an issue linking the smart wall plugs to the app. It wouldn't detect them. It said hold the power button on the side for 3-5 seconds to enter linking mode but that wouldn't work. I ended up holding it for maybe like 8 seconds to get it to finally pair. Once paired it worked. I struggled to find what I wanted to use it for. The use cases for these are minimal in my opinion. If you have the smart bulbs in your lamps you don't need it for lighting. I ended up using it for the Christmas tree which it makes sense for. I can set a timer through the app to shut off at a certain time. Overall, it works but I don't think I would get more of them because I don't know what I would use it for.

Great smart plug

Here at home we can’t do without those smart plugs. It’s much easier to control and more economical. These are from the NOMA iQ™ brand and have an app via Google Play or AppStore where you can program them to turn on and off or you can do it manually too. In short, practicality and efficiency.

Super Simple Setup for Beginners
