OGX Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum
I had high hopes for the Serum because the ingredients sounded great, but sadly, it didn’t work for me. I’ve used it several times, but I didn’t notice much improvement in my hair. Maybe my hair is just too damaged. I was hoping for more gloss, smoothness, and a longer-lasting scent, but it just didn’t deliver. Personally, I wouldn’t repurchase it.
Lightweight serum
The gel format of this serum makes it very lightweight and would be good for someone with dry hair but worried about oiliness. I notice reduction in frizziness of hair but not much else. Personally I'm also not a fan of the specific fragrance it has.
Too Rich for Curly Hair
The Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum seemed promising as a finishing product, but it ended up making my hair even heavier. A little goes a long way, but even with a small amount, my hair felt greasy and lost its natural curl pattern almost immediately. I wanted it to help seal and protect my hair, but instead it made styling more difficult. It’s not a bad product, just not the best fit for curly hair that needs to stay light and bouncy.
Okay serum
I used this serum in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner. I applied it to damp hair and let it dry. I have bleached and color treated hair. This serum didn't smooth out my hair as much I was hoping it would. I had to apply it 2 times before I felt like it actually smoothed my hair down. But it did add shine, so that was great.
Maybe not for fine hair
I have very fine hair, and this product was a little heavy for my hair. However using just half a pump it was okay. I did notice a difference in the appearance of split ends and fly aways after styling my hair with this product. I would recommend this to someone with thicker/ more dense hair for sure!
Decent
I’ve only used this three times now and I don’t see a major difference in my hair, especially if I air dry my hair. Once I style it with a flat iron to makes waves, it’s feel smoother. I also stayed using a glycolic acid shampoo so in conjunction with the serum, it provides decent results.
Meh
This doesn’t do much for my hair and the serum itself feels pretty thin. It might work if you have thin hair but if you have medium-thick I unfortunately don’t think it will do much for you
I like it but I don’t love it
I was excited for the OGX bond repair sealing serum because my hair always come out thick and frizzy even when freshly washed and dried. The scent is nice and I only applied this to my ends and partially up my hair. I did find that it helped to smoothe out my hair, but it got greasy after a full day. I felt like I had to wash my hair again the next day.
Not enough for me
#Gifted : I tried the Bond Protein Repair from OGX 💁🏼♀️
Let me start with some context: I have bleached hair so their texture is extremely porous and dry. Therefore I am very picky with my haircare routine 😬. The collection is meant to be repairing and strengthening 💪🏻
This trio did not work for me BUT I can see this type of treatment working for less damaged hair. I will review them out of 10 🤓
🧴OGX® Bond Protein Repair Shampoo : 5/10
I could feel that it was stripping moisture from my hair instead but it did a good job of cleaning 🤔
🧴OGX® Bond Protein Repair Conditioner : 8/10
It felt very hydrating and nourishing without being heavy. I think it was my favourite out of the trio ♥️
🧴OGX® Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum : 6,5/10 ~ Texture was very interesting. I was a gel that melted in my hands. It spread nicely but unfortunately it was not the right product for my current hair. Not enough hydratation 🥲
Thank you @thisisbutterly for sending these for my honest opinion ☺️
Bisous 🫶🏻

Unsure
The serum felt lightweight and has a light scent. In hair it doesn’t weigh down or leave a residue. As far as effectiveness I found no change to my hair I have split ends and saw no improvement to look or feel. I’m rating the serum a 3/5 stars because I’m giving the product the benefit of the doubt with a few more weeks that it will work.
