These are THE BEST diapers to get when you have a newborn. They are soft, and often the 'newborn' size is specially designed to fit around the still-healing umbilical cord [soon to be belly-button!]
These were the diapers provided by the hospital when my son was born. As soon as we were home we switched. They gave his little butt a horrible rash. He never had this problem with any other kind of diapers. One visit to a doctor's office and after being weighed he was put into a swaddlers diaper. Within 5 minutes (after weighing to when the doctor came in and looked him over) he had a horrible rash. It almost looked like a burn. As soon as we'd switch him out of them, his butt would go back to normal.
I love that they have the wetness indicator although I had a few tabs come off of them and the ones that say " up to 12 hours of protection" not true. I found that after 3 ish hours the diaper was soggy-ish. I prefer Huggies for sure. They may work for some babies, but just not for mine :)
I was originally on Team Huggies because I am a huge Winnie the Pooh fan. However, while we were at the hospital, they were using the Swaddlers brand diapers and I couldn't help but love them. As a new mom I was worried I wouldn't be able to tell when to change baby (as urine is often very light coloured the first few months) without having to feel for wetness, and the wetness indicator strip was a godsend! My husband could easily tell when baby was wet and was extra helpful with diaper changes. My only negative is that they only go up to a size 3 and I would have liked to keep using them until we were ready for potty training.
These diapers were wonderful! I used them on both my babies, and never did I have a blowout or leaky diaper. They fit nice and snug without being too tight and I was really sad when my kids outgrew them, fairly quickly as I birthed chunkers.
Great product! Always been a pampers fan. They curve to the babies bottom and keeps them protected even through those long sleeping nights.
While I found these had a good fit and I liked the blue "wetness' indicator line, I found they leaked terribly, especially with 'blow-outs' and that the inners gave my children rashes. I switched to the presidents choice diapers and the rashes went away!
I've had nothing but problems with pampers swaddlers. I have tried using various different kinds of pampers products and all they do is leak. It's unfortunate! I'll stick to huggies snug n dry.
We love pampers swaddlers....especially my husband...he likes that there is a blue line when baby has a wet diaper because he can never tell when it's time for a diaper change. We never have leaks either and they are nice and soft, not plasticky like some diapers.
I have used swaddlers for when my children where new borns and it is the only product other then cloth diapers that will touch there bottoms for the first month, swaddlers are super small and soft they fit wonderfully and keep the leeks from exploding up the back they don't have a strong smell like other types of pampers and are truly the only type that dont give my kids a rash on there oh so sensitve new born skin. Once they are a bit older I do switch to other diapers as the cost no longer out weighs the effectiveness.
