Not as effective as hoped

I was hoping that the face cleanser would be a bit more affective than it ended up being. Glad that I was able to try it before purchasing. It was nice and thick but unfortunately didn’t meet my hopes.

Good product

Good product, we used it for 1 week and we saw a nice difference. We will continue to use it to see if the skin improvement continues. The product does not have an unpleasant odor and its texture is good.

Easy to use but nothing special

I received this wash as a sample, in exchange for my honest review, from @panoxyl and @butterly. My partner used this for his moderate acne and liked it. Didn’t dry his skin out and was easy to use, but didn’t need it more than every other day. Unfortunately it was no any different than other we have tried. He may or may not switch, depending on the pricing and availability but wouldn’t go out of our way to purchase.

Wish it would foam up

I generally like PanOxyl's products and this one does make my skin feel squeaky clean but it's not my most favorite product out of their line. I would have preferred if this cleaner would soap up or foam up more. it's more a cleansing cream but doesn't feel like it goes on very evenly. And it's recommended to gradually increase in usage but I found that it left my skin feeling slightly more sensitive and dry so I opted to use it every other day or once a week. Overall it seems to do a good job and in the end you will need to judge how often you need to apply it. I dont have to work about treating preexisting acne and use it more as a preventative measure.

Works ok but smells like bleach

I have oily acne prone skin and so I was excited to try this.

It’s a nice sort of creamy formula that washes off easily. I haven’t had any breakouts while using it for about two weeks now, so that’s promising.

I like it, but I have a hard time with the smell. It smells VERY strongly like bleach. I feel like I’m bleaching my face while using it. Fortunately that smells goes away after washing it off, but it’s still off putting.

While I’m enjoying this and do think it seems to be effective, that smell is bad enough to make me not want to buy it.

I’ve tried the PanOxyl Acne wash based on a recommendation from a dermatologist and it’s been great for me. It really helped unclog my pores and made my skincare more effective. Thank you

Found this face wash drying

I have oily, acne-prone skin that frequently becomes congested with blackheads and a bumpy texture, so I hoped this product would help smooth my skin. PanOxyl Acne Wash contains 4% benzoyl peroxide. Its creamy texture lathers less than other cleansers I’ve tried, which isn’t negative, just something to mention. The instructions recommend massaging the wash into the skin for two minutes before rinsing off, which differs from other face wash products I use. I applied about a quarter-sized amount on my face twice daily. The scent is quite strong and smells like peroxide, which I didn’t enjoy. When I incorporated this into a double cleansing routine on makeup days, my skin felt tight and dry after using it as the second cleanser. Used alone, it was less drying. Although the formula includes three humectants and four emollients intended to combat dryness, I still experienced dryness, so I didn’t find those ingredients effective personally. I think I’d need to reduce usage to once a day or less to minimize dryness. On a positive note, I didn’t experience peeling, irritation, or staining of clothes or towels. I did notice some improvement in skin congestion; my skin felt a bit less bumpy, and I had fewer visible blackheads. However, the wash didn’t help reduce the size of a large pimple I had at the time. Overall, PanOxyl Acne Wash helped with congestion and blackheads, but was somewhat drying for my skin.

Didn’t do much

I used this product twice a day for a week, and I didn’t see any changes. Aside from that, it has a strong (in my opinion) scent that smells like a bathroom cleaner. I definitely wasn’t a fan of that.

It’s Okay

The product itself is unscented which normally I would prefer but the natural scent of this product is faintly reminiscent of bleach, so some fragrance would have been nice. Additionally after a week of use I didn’t find it terribly effective, I will be sticking with my La Roche Posay Cleanser which although pricier seems more effective for me personally.

It’s alright

Since you seen this product for a few days, I find this acne wash, gentle on the skin and the product feels nice and smooth. My experience with this wash is that it’s not super effective right off the bat. It prevents my acne from getting worse, but it does take a bit of time for it to be effective to get rid of my acne.
