The smell..

I have very stubborn dark spots and I have been searching for so many years for a product that will help lighten and reduce my dark spots. The serum made my skin soft and plump but my dark spots did not lighten at all. Maybe over a long period of time around 6months to a year you will notice a difference. But overall the serum is great, it sinks into the skin very quickly and made my skin very soft and supple. However the smell is horrible! I am not a person who is sensitive to smells but this has a very vinegary and yeast smell.. if you are sensitive to smells I think you should find a different product.

Could not get past the smell

I really wanted to like this serum as I have dark spots and uneven skin tone and texture and while I did notice a positive difference in the brightness and appearance of my skin I was unable to get past a couple of issues I found myself having. The initial one is the smell of the serum. Though it was not fragranced which I can appreciate, the natural smell was very yeast/ vinegar-like and I was unable to get used to it. The other thing is how it made my skin feel. To preface, I want to mention my skin is pretty resilient, however the times when it does not like a product it makes it very evident. I began using it in the PM and trying it once a week as directed for sensitive skin just to be on the safe side and as the packaging suggested. Though it did brighten my skin, I also noticed my skin did not look or feel good in other ways, and it made my skin a bit puffy in appearance which was not ideal. I tried to let my skin get used to it trying it for a few weeks in a row to no avail. I gave it a rating of 3/5 because it did do what it was supposed to do, the negatives for me just outweighed the positives. If you do not get the occasional reaction to a product or are not bothered by the scent then I think you would have a positive experience with this product.

Not a huge fan

First off, the smell is absolutely horrible. It's hard to get past the smell of this product. I wish they would have added something to it to make it smell better. Next trying it, it did lighten up some of my dark spots after initial use after about a day I noticed some difference. It is only recommended to use once per week though so it would take several weeks to notice an overall difference. Overall on this product, it works yes but it is not a product I would personally be purchasing again unfortunately mainly because of the smell.

I received this complimentary dark spot serum from Butterly. I have not used a Peace Out product before, but have seen their logo previously. I like that the instructions for the product are included on the bottle itself, the pump is easy to use. The only downside is the smell which is very strong. I would like to use this product for longer in order to see if it helps lighten my acne scars.
