Didn't like flavor
My little one did not like the taste, so we tried a couple times to get them to take the supplement and it was a fight everytime. I think if it had a sweeter flavor or was tasteless, it would have been easier to try and get down. Especially since they're 2 it took too full droppers to get the dosage in, it made it an extra challenge.
Ok but not great
My children didn’t like the taste at all and I’m worry that it will stain their teeth which is not great in my opinion. I guess it’s effective with iron level for them but I don’t want to battle with them every day.
Not for newborns
Can't really tell if it made a difference with a babies health unless you test before and after using this supplement.
I will day though that it is advertised as 0-3, but you really shouldn't give babies that are under 6 months Supplements unless it is doctor recommended and prescribed.
Dislike lemon flavour
My baby didn’t like the lemon flavour . She kept spitting it out even though I put it with her food. I may try the other flavours. However I do see an improvement she gets sick less her skin better. She has eczema and has been scratching her skin seem less itchy also a boost on her skin healing faster from previous scratches
Iron supplement
Pedia Fer Iron supplements we're easy to use came with dropper to easily measure the dosage for my son. The smell of the product was not very appealing and I thought the flavour of Lemon would help with my son taking the supplement but he didn't seem to like the taste that much and refused to take the supplement so it was hard to determine if this supplement actually worked.
Decent option for maintenance dose
I tried this iron supplement for my 2-year-old with iron deficiency. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem potent enough. We also noticed worsening reflux symptoms, which may be related to some ingredients or flavours. It might work for mild cases, but it wasn’t effective for us.
Not for us
I liked the idea of this product as the taste was lemony and the dropper made it convenient, however we tried give it at different times withdifferent food but each time it upset my 1 year old stomach and she threw up shortly after. We read that trying it alongside orange juice can help eliminate stomach upset so we will give it one more shot, but would look into alternative methods for delivery
Baby Wasn't a Fan
While I was pregnant with my little one, I had to take iron supplements as a precaution. I know how important it is to keep your iron efficiency up so that your red blood cells function properly. That's why I was intrigued by the PediaFer Iron Supplement for babies/infants that I had received.
The supplement was easy to use as it came with a dropper. I put one drop on the nipple of the bottle during baby's second feed (I do the Vitamin D drop in the mornings during her first feed). I don't think she's a big fan though...it could be the lemon flavour of it. You can see in the picture that she was also just as intrigued as I was. I can't say if I'd recommend this one since she doesn't seem to take it well like the Vitamin...I'd say speak with your pediatrician first for their opinion or a sample if they have it.
I received this product for free from Butterly for testing and review purposes.
Harsh citrus tasting iron supplement
My child did not like the taste of this supplement. He made a bitter face each time I gave drops to him. Aside from that, I think giving extra iron is a great idea. The dropper allows you to get the exact volume of liquid required. I will continue to give this to him, although the flavour was not desired. I received this product free.
I’m sure it’s okay?
I have not tried it myself, but both my kids hated it with a passion. My eldest even almost threw up, and my youngest runs away as soon as I pick up the bottle. It’s a pass for us :/ also, lemon flavour? Was strawberry not available, or something more kid friendly?
