    Seems to be working

I gave this iron supplement to my little one with her breakfast and noticed an increase to her energy levels throughout the day. She was more energetic and playful and seemed more interested in her toys than before. Very easy to administer through the dropper. The only thing I disliked was the taste - I saw my little one grimacing whenever she had a bite of her food that had the iron supplement in it so I tasted it and sure enough, it tastes pretty awful (metallic taste).

Practical way to support my little one’s iron need

PediaFer Iron Supplement has been a practical way to support my little one’s iron needs, and it ended up fitting into our routine more easily than expected. The dropper makes it simple to measure the dose accurately, and being able to mix the full daily amount into a small serving of milk or purée keeps things low‑stress at dosing time. The lemon flavour is noticeable but fairly mild, so it has gone over better than other iron supplements we’ve tried, especially when it is mixed into food. After using it consistently, energy and alertness have seemed good, and there were no obvious stomach issues beyond the slightly darker stools that are typical with iron. The only thing to watch for is the usual liquid‑iron downside of potential teeth staining, so a quick sip of water and a wipe of the teeth or gums after each dose feels like a smart extra step. Overall, PediaFer feels like a convenient option for newborns and toddlers who need extra iron support, as long as it is used exactly the way a healthcare provider recommends.

Easy Iron for Kiddos As Needed

Our son is 3 and was more than happy to do it himself. Mr. Independent! PediaFer™ contains iron salt to help in the formation and proper function of red blood cells and provides the added daily iron he might need.
The easy to use dropper makes it simple to measure the correct dose with ease. He wasn't a huge fan the second dose with the taste, but can be masked easily enough. If they aren't happy with the lemon flavor, it can be added to beverages and food. It's also important to stick with the necessary dosage. Our toddler is a great eater and likely eats enough of his daily iron requirement. However if we were concerned I would certainly try this more consistently after consulting our pediatrician as this product would be appropriate, easy to use, and meet our needs.

Less of a fight to take!

Butterly gave me the chance to review Pedia Iron!

My son has low iron and we are monitoring, but generally getting iron into him is hard. At first I was worried when I gave him the Pedia Iron straight up and it smelt like I gave him a concentrated lemon ‘electrolyte’ drink his dad drinks for work. Then I added it to an orange juice box, and it was the first time in almost a year he took all his iron without a fight. He just had bloodwork, so I’m not sure if it’s working yet but, honestly better than his prescription iron.

It is still gentle on his tummy with no constipation. He seems a little more energetic so I’m optimistic!!

    Great for EBF baby!

I recently received this infant iron supplement as a #freesample from @thisisbutterly and #pediafer to try in exchange for my honest review. Our little is #ebf, and starting solids hasn’t been as smooth as we would have liked, so we worried that they weren’t getting all the iron they needed. I’m happy to say that adding this supplement in helps to ease those concerns! For our little, we tried giving them a small amount directly which didn’t go down well for them, so we’ve found that diluting in their water to be the best approach for us. I love that the included dropper also doubles as the cap which keeps everything together and tidy! Now that our little is more comfortable with solids we usually add this in on days that their iron intake is alittle low, and I love that it gives us confidence to know that they’re getting enough. #recommended

    Bay approved

This is convenient for moms and babies, say bye-bye to Anemia and hello to happy healthy littles. This product comes with a dropper for easy dosing, it’s gentle on the tummy and can be added to food or drinks. My little one approves of it and likes the taste. So it’s a win for us. Remember what works for one may not work for others, everyone’s experience is different.

    Easy supplement to give

I received this product for free in exchange for a honest review. Iron deficiency is the most common mineral deficiency for toddlers. My 3 year old enjoyed this supplement even asking for more. The applicator was easy to use and I applied it directly in her mouth. However, I believe the best way to provide this is in juice due to its strong taste. Additionally, the Vitamin C in the juice will increase its absorption. The hardest issue was to remember to provide it during a meal, especially a low calcium meal to decrease any negative interactions.

    Easy to use dropper

There are volume markers labeled on the dropper so you know how much you're dosing. The dropper makes it very easy for dispensing directly into the mouth or into another method. The liquid is a cloudy, pale yellow and it unfortunately has a slightly metallic/bitter taste. I would've enjoyed if it was a tart and sweet lemon dessert flavour as it would be a more pleasant experience. I don't know if the iron supplement made a difference in health but I don't think it was detrimental.

    Iron supplement for toddler

When first opened the bottle the lemon smell was very strong. I really wish this was unflavoured or had a kid-friendly flavour like bubble gum. I tried giving it with the enclosed syringe but my toddler hated it and tried to spit it out saying:”Yucky, tastes bad.” Diluting it in water helped the smell a bit but it tinted the water and taste of iron was present. After trying a few ways, mixing it into food works best for us. The product itself does the job but getting the toddler to actually take it is definitely a challenge because of the taste.
