I used this alot but found didn't make a big difference on the diaper rash I switched to a different brand and got to say it worked. I found it very thick and pricey and didn't go long way and also it didn't work
Penaten has the WORST packaging ever. I recieved some samples at a baby convention and I couldn't wait to be done these ones. The quality of the cream was fine. It seemed to work when my son had some redness, but I just hated the container that the cream was in. It is small and thin and doesn't contain much actual cream at all. I also had a very difficult time getting out what cream there was. I would avoid this one in the future.
I am on the fence with this product. I used to love it, it works great and come in squeeze bottles now making it even better (who doesn't love not getting diaper cream all over their hands when the product is getting low). My issue is with the last two bottles that i purchased. Both had these little bead type things in them, kind of like what you would find in an exfoliating wash. I wrote the company and they did issue a voucher for a new one and a prepaid envelop to mail what i had to them, but the new one that i picked up with the voucher had the same issue. I will be buying a different brand from now on.
I bought this as everyone I know had told me this was the best one out there. Once I tried it I could not have disagreed more! This diaper cream was so hard to put on the affected spot. If there is even a bit of wetness between this and the affected area this cream will not stay on at all. Most of it ended up getting everywhere except where it was supposed to be!! Never again.
Everyone I talked to said this was the best product for diaper rash, but I disagree. If there is any moisture to the rash (as diaper rashes often have) the cream is too thick, and actually rolls off the reddened area. It is almost impossible to spread! I found this cream both frustrating and messy.
I don't like this cream. I used it for diaper rash on my first son. Once the rash appears the cream doesn't make it go away any faster than doing nothing. Petroleum jelly worked a lot better. I now only use petroleum jelly and my second son hardly ever gets diaper rash. The cream is also pasty and hard to get off your fingers after you apply it to the baby's bottom.
My wee little boy is 10 months old and have made it this long without a diaper rash. Until a few days ago. A combination of teething and heat it flared up. I made the choice to use Penaten Cream as thats what was recommended. It did absolutely nothing for days. Wasn't easy to put on just a mess. Had to change it up and go with a different product and saw changes within 12 hours!
This is an okay diaper cream. Its super thick and works well on diaper rash. Its not an every day use cream and comes in small containers. Not really the best deal if you have a baby with chronic diaper rash or if you are looking for something creamy and more lotion like.
I received this cream in a free sample pack. I am happy I did not waste my money on it. I found it too thick. Hard to apply evenly onto baby's bottom! It was like smearing chewed gum onto your skin! The only thing I do like is the tin it comes in.
