Super yummy with pesto!!

Overall I would give the jackfruit pepperoni a 3.75/5 but let me explain why! I am not fully plant based or vegan or vegetarian etc. I live an ‘intentionally imperfect sustainable lifestyle’ and make conscious choices as i’m able to/have the capacity. That being said, I am also not generally a
‘meat alternative’ person. If I am choosing to eat meat, I’m eating meat. If I’m choosing to eat plant based, I am eating simple, whole foods that are unapologetically themselves.
THAT BEING SAID, pepperoni is a food that often has dangerous additives no matter what, and sometimes, you just want a cheesy quesadilla with pepperoni without ingesting things like sodium nitrates, or dangerous artificial preservatives in to your body! That’s where I give this product props because it really does give you that farm-to-fresh feel while still satisfying the salty, slightly spicy zing that pepperoni gives you. I will say though, the flavour is quite strong, and I made the mistake of putting quite a lot into my quesadilla. I think one small layer would have been just perfect. I’m super curious to try out the dumplings next, I think those would be right up my alley. Also love that this brand is sold at superstore!

This was interesting

Okay so hear me out… the taste was really good… I love jackfruit but this to me didn’t even taste like jackfruit this literally tasted like I was eating a regular pepperoni. I enjoy eating meat, but as an alternative this would totally go unnoticed taste wise for sure. It was delicious, I likely would buy it again but it seems to be a hot commodity because it took me weeks to find it

Pretty dang close to pepperoni

I really enjoyed how tasty and easy to use this product was! I’ve tried a couple of the Plantropy products now, and I’m impressed with everyone. I’ve tried. This one tastes very similar to regular pepperoni, but is a healthy and vegan alternative that suits anyone’s diet. Made some delicious pizza bites for Christmas Eve and they were a hit!

Amazing Flavour

I was genuinely curious to try this. As an Indian I often get bland food options here, it is a great topping for quick dinners. I love that it is gluten free, I grew up eating jackfruit so I definitely love the flavour.
It thaws quick so doesn’t need preparation. It’s easy to cook just like any other food topping and quite versatile, it works quite well on sandwiches too.

Great pepperoni alternative

I used Plantrophy's jackfruit Pepperoni as a replacement for actual pepperoni in my pizza pinwheels recipe and they were absolutely delicious. At first, I was a bit concerned because when I tried a defrosted one out of the package, they tasted fine but didnt give me that pull-apart/stretchy texture that pepperoni has. But that all changed once you actually cook them. They're tasty, well-seasoned, and can definitely pass as pepperoni to any recipe.

Good meat alternative

I recieved this Plantropy jackfruit pepperoni free in exchange for my honest review. The texture is softer than real pepperoni and the taste is spicier. However on a pizza or other cooked item the texture is good and the spice is not as strong. While it is not an exact pepperoni taste it is a great alternative. It is soy free, gluten free. A great source of fiber and is available at Real Canadian Superstore.

Great vegan alternative!

I made pizza Pretzels with these Jackfruit pepperonis and they were a hit. I liked that they crisp up perfectly in the oven mimicking real pepperoni. They also had a Smokey flavour and a slight kick to them. The texture is a little different but I still enjoyed them. Since the pepperonis come frozen, they do need to be thawed before use. Overall these vegan pepperonis exceeded my expectation and I can’t wait to try them in other dishes!

Great pepperoni flavor

It has a great pepperoni flavor especially for having no meat in it! It's a super healthy alternative. It's a little soft for me, so I might bake it longer before using it next time.

Not disappointed

I made a mini pizza snack tasted really good taste much better cooked than raw almost like the real thing I've tried several products already and havent been disappointed yet.Quick and easy to use, full of fiber, zero transfat, and sugar free.

Great meat alternative

I got this item free from Butterfly. Overall I think that this was a good tasting meat alternative. I don’t eat vegan products often, but I wouldn’t mind eating this. I don’t think I would buy this myself again , but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good meat alternative!
