perfect for younger kids

My household has many board games, but because of different ages, we cannot all play games with lots of rules or tiny pieces. This means, we rarely play games, which upsets my two older kids. This was the perfect game to set up for the two of them to play alone together. The rules were so simple which meant they did not need a grownups help and being able to flip over to another side offered variety which every kid needs to stay interested. There were not many pieces which made it easy to clean up and store. The only thing I would change was a sturdier box because I can tell this one isn't going to make it long term.

Fun two board games in one!

This is a board game with two game boards in one. The first is “Snakes and Ladders,” which is just like chutes and ladders. The snakes are bad! Don’t land on their heads or your slide back down. It’s a very straight forward game and easy for preschoolers.

The second game is unique. In “Forest Snack Game” the goal is to reach the end of the trail and to feed all of your picnic baskets to the animals at the end! The game takes about 10 minutes overall, which was just the right amount of time for a four year old’s attention span! If you land on the fox he will take one of your baskets away.

The concept of having print on both sides of the game board is economical and convenient. The board is thinner than most board games, so may not hold up for as long.

Good 2-in-1 fun for kids!

We tested the Play Begins Snakes and Ladders & Forest Snack, 2-in-1 Board Game Set. First of all, I love that this set has two different games in one and it folds up easily, so it doesn't take up much space and is perfect for travel! While I was familiar with the Snakes and Ladders game, I wasn't sure how to play the Forest Snack one. Both games were easy to play, with simple instructions and minimal play pieces. The game board is thick and the illustrations are bright and colorful. My 7 year old daughter really enjoyed both games and has asked to play again several times. Each game can also be played with between 2-4 players, so both are perfect for our whole family to enjoy. We really like this set and would recommend.
