Dense Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake- Delicious

PowerPlus ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Bars are one of my favourite protein bars (both Lemon Poppyseed and Creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter), and I've tried most brands on the market. I will most definitely be buying both again! They can be found at many stores, such as Metro, Shoppers, and Rexall for approximately $3.

The Lemon Poppyseed is sweet and creamy. It reminds me of a dense lemon poppyseed pound cake; it tastes like a dessert. The taste of the lemon is refreshing. The texture is dense, soft, and chewy. I did NOT find it had a gritty texture nor did I feel there was a prominent protein powder taste, both of which can be common in protein bars I've tried.

This is a nice alternative to my usual protein bar.

I got to try this for free, I complete forgot to review as I was facing lots of problems in most aspects of my life, checking email was pushed to the bottom of priority list.

My favourite flavour of the two I tried was this one, it has a nice citrusy tone to it, at the same time I thought it won't be sweet at all, but there is a nice balance of sweetness, without other powering all other tastes, I had the pleasure of finding that in my busy on the go lifestyle, I had a bar when I missed lunch, it was a better pick me up than any other kind of bars and I did not even need coffee, I felt energised and ready to take on the rest of the day.

Unique taste

I was surprised by the unusual taste, a bit sour, a bit sweet. I was worrying actually if I will like that. But it tastes really good. But there is more - it is less sugar, low carb. What can be better for person eating keto. I will definitely buy these bars.

These got me through the morning!!

These bars were so good. The sugar content was perfect for me, i dont like it being too sweet. The lemon poppy seed was so lemony. And the texture of these were great too. I love these..

Love the different flavour

While training for a half marathon and working full time, I was left with little time to prep my snacks and meals. This bar was great to toss in my purse and snack on while on the way to the gym or the running trails. I was a huge fan of this flavour as typical protein bars are very chocolate focused.

Nice to have a different flavour of protein bar... finally!

Really liked the flavour, very different from all the chocolate and nut flavours that consume the shelves. Accidentally left this in my hot car for two weeks as well and it still tasted great

Flavour was amazing!

This protein bar was packed with so much flavour w f kept me satisfied until lunch. I use the bar has a mid morning snack. I highly recommend this product.

What a Great Workout

Recently I received my free PowerBar Protein Plus Reduced Sugar In Lemon Poppy Seed and Creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter.
Oh WOW what great flavor, are you sure they are sugar reduced LOL I have to admit the Lemon Poppy Seed Protein Bars were my favorite, I felt like I had more energy after eating one and oh the flavor just kept me so happy that I found I had so much energy even my workouts were enjoyable instead of putting it off like usual, I was spending more time working out. My friends even noticed and yes I sort of shared one with my best friend who I know has since bought some.

Wasn't one of my favourites

Having tried other power bars, this one was not a wow factor for me. I like crunchy power bars rather than smooth type. It will definitely do in a pinch if my other go to power bars aren't available.

High quality PowerBar product

This PowerBar product is, in my mind, the best one offered yet. It is packed with essential nutrients and the protein content is appreciated as most competitor bars fall short in protein content versus sugar content. The lemon poppy seed flavor is refreshing and different from what is typically offered in this product type. I found the taste appealing and satisfying overall. The ingredients seem to be of high quality and the bar's texture is consistent and smooth. Would use on a regular basis as an exercise snack!
