fake taste, awful texture, overwhelming aftertaste

These taste extremely synthetic. I can only eat two bites before the artificial sweetness goes straight to my brain (and I normally LOVE sweet bars). The texture is also super gritty. It's nice that Power Bar is expanding into low sugar options but this one misses the mark. You can find far tastier, low sugar protein bars on the market at the same price point and nutritional value. I will not be repurchasing these nor recommending them.

I just can't get behind these

I use protein bars on a regular basis, so receiving these free for reviewing purposes was something I was really excited about. Was... Until I had one. I'm not going to say it was absolutely horrible, but the taste just wasn't there. I was not only the taste though, it was a textural thing too. For me this just isn't one I would add to the ones I use. I would not recommend.

Not a Fan

I received the PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed free as part of the ChickAdvisor program. I am not a fan of poppy seed and this bar did absolutely nothing to change my feelings about poppy seed. The texture of the bar left a lot to be desired and I could not get past the flavour. I will not buy this product.

i got this for free to try and was excited as i am a lemon lover however i was disapointed in the imitation lemon taste iti had i will not buy this product

PowerBar Protein Plus reduced sugar poppy seed is great that it is reduced sugar and has so much protein in it but the taste is just horrible .... they definitely need to work on the taste factor for sure

Great first bite, not so great aftertaste!

I received these bars free from Chickadvisor.

The first bite was fantastic! I loved the lemony flavour. Unfortunately I found that after chewing it for a second though that it became quite chalky and dry in my mouth. I felt like I needed to drink gallons of water to wash it down.

I'm pretty sure I won't buy this bar in the future.

Liked somewhat

The lemon was a nice refreshing taste but I guess the protein bar just isn't for me. I find the taste and texture very unpleasant and feel like I'm forcing myself to eat it.

Gross!! Do not buy!!

I will never buy this flavour. I had high hopes after the choc and pb one, however, this particular bar was what I assume a lemon cleaner bar would taste like. It had a very distinct chemical taste and was really dry.

These are not for me

I am not a fan of these protein bars. I was hoping for great things but was very disappointed. Don't like the taste or the texture :( Not for me! #gotitfree #chickadvisor

You couldn't pay me to eat these again

I think people are giving good reviews because they got it for free and are scared they wont get more free things if they provide a bad review.

These were AWFUL. The taste wasn't at all like a lemon poppyseed muffin. The texture was gritty, and felt weird on my teeth. Even my husband, who isn't at all picky hated it. They're also way too sweet in my opinion.
