Spicy, sweet and sour

I really enjoyed Rude Mama Passionfruit Hot Sauce. It's the right balance of heat, sour and sweet. The sour comes from passion fruit and tomatoes and a slight sweetness from the fruit. It's very versatile. I would use it as a dipping sauce, add to wraps and sandwich, cook with stir-fry. It works with both Western and Asian dishes!

Okay this one? It did not come to play.
As someone from the Caribbean, I take my hot sauce very seriously and this Passion Fruit Rude Mama? Yeah… she speaks directly to my soul. That sweet, tangy tropical flavour mixed with the heat instantly took me back home.

The balance is honestly what got me. She’s spicy, don’t get it twisted, but it’s not overpowering. You still get to fully enjoy the passion fruit, the layers of flavour, all the little notes doing their thing. It’s giving heat and taste, which is exactly what a good hot sauce should do.

Once I tried it, it was a wrap. I’ve been putting it on everything!
If you love a hot sauce that brings flavour first and still delivers that kick, this one is it. Sweet, spicy, tropical goodness in a bottle.

Loved the heat not the flavor

Passion fruit wasn’t for me but I’m sure I’d like other flavours cause their heat level was perfect for my daily avocado-cottage cheese- egg combo.

Passionfruit Hot Sauce

It has a subtle sweetness & actually has a nice kick to it (and I say that as someone with a decent spice tolerance!) but the spiciness doesn’t linger on your tongue too long, so you wanna go back for more. I tried it with some banh mi inspired tacos, but I think it’d taste great with a large variety of foods.

Wow! @rudemamahotsauce showed up and delivered at dinner last night.
I’ve been waiting for an excuse to try this passionfruit hot sauce, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I wasn’t sure if the Thai chili flavor would go with my tacos… but honestly I think you could put this stuff on just about anything.
The first bite is all flavor, then the heat rolls in nice and evenly. And unlike a lot of hot sauces, this one is actually nice and thick, which makes it perfect for dipping too.
Naturally, I dared my kiddo to try it.
He accepted the challenge like a brave little warrior.
Immediate regret.
Followed by aggressive root beer chugging.
BUT… even through the spice panic he admitted it actually tasted really good. So honestly that’s a win.
Looking forward to trying this on more dishes.

Flavourful and spicy

Delicious hot sauce with wonder flavours. It's slightly floraly but also salty. It has great flavour instead of just being spicy. Great in bowls and on noodles

Sweet, Tropical… and Surprisingly Spicy

I received the Passion Fruit Rude Mama hot sauce as a gifted product to review, and it was such a fun one to try. The passion fruit flavour is the first thing you notice, it’s bright, tropical, and almost makes you think it’s going to be mild. Then the heat kicks in and reminds you that this sauce definitely has some attitude.

What I love most is how balanced it is. The fruity sweetness and the spice work really well together, so it adds flavour instead of just heat. I’ve already used it on eggs, rice bowls, and noodles, and it instantly makes simple meals more exciting.

It’s also really cool knowing it’s an authentic Vietnamese hot sauce handcrafted in Toronto. You can tell a lot of care went into the flavour.

If you like hot sauces that are a little different and bring both flavour and heat, this one is definitely worth trying. Just don’t let the tropical vibe fool you; it has a kick! 🌶️

Delicious and deceptively spicy!

I’m really impressed with this hot sauce! It is deceptively spicy because it starts off sweet and fruity. My favourite ways to enjoy this hot sauce are drizzled over fried rice, used as a chip dip, or in place of salsa for nachos. I will definitely be trying more flavours of this hot sauce in the future.
