Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher is great for a quick fix!

Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher is a spray on colour product that gives temporary cover for your grays. It washes out on your next shampoo. I found it didn't fully cover the gray hair, but it did minimize it so it wasn't as noticeable. It leaves your hair kind of rough and crunchy, not soft at all. I don't mind this product if I need a quick fix, but I find other semi-permanent root retouchers to be more beneficial for me.

J'ai essayé le root retoucher, couleur dark acajou. J'ai trouvé que ce produit était une solution économique et rapide de retarder notre teinture. Il ne laisse pas le cheveu avec des résidus et est facile d'utilisation. Je le recommande donc, en autant que vous choisissiez la bonne couleur!

Great product for temporary coverage

This product is great to use for temporary coverage in between salon visits. Its works best I find on covering grey. Easy to wash out. I used dark blonde. I received this product for free.

Didn't work on my dark blonde highlights

I recently tested Schwarzkopf Root Retouching spray. I was sorely disappointed. I have medium brown hair with dark blonde highlights. I do not have grey or white hair as of yet. ;) This spray didn't cover my roots. I did like the texture of the product. It wasn't sticky but it stayed quite wet and took awhile to dry. I could barely tell the color tone difference. Maybe it works wonders to cover darker hair colors. It was worth a try! Fantastic for fine hair!

I received the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Blonde for review from ChickAdvisor. I was excited to try this product for a couple of reasons - I have a silver/white streak in my hair that I've had since I was a kid, and as I have very fine hair, the lack of pigment where that hair grows out of my scalp looks like a bare patch (see photo), which makes me self conscious! I have what I would call medium golden blonde hair, and in some lights it has some copper strands. The Dark Blonde colour in this product wasn't an exact match, but I think it is the closest I will get, and you'd have to look pretty hard to notice.

There were no instructions included with the spray, just the warning on the can to shake well before using. There is a small short tube attachment on the nozzle to help with directing the colour to a specific area. As I am a newbie to this, I was a bit too trigger happy on the first try, but a light combing helped distribute the product. My silver streak covered nicely, but even better was that it no longer looked like I had a bare spot on my head where my part was. My hair did look a little less shiny where the product Was, and there was definitely some transfer even after I let it fully dry (see my white paper test photo!), but both of these issues were solved with a light misting of a shine boosting hair spray.

The only way I could like this product more would be if it lasted longer than one wash, and if it came in a few more shades for hair with different undertones. Otherwise I really enjoy this product and will very likely buy it once I run out.

Bien heureuse d’avoir eu la chance de tester ce produit par l’entremise du Club des bancs d’essai de ChickAdvisor.

J’avais opté pour la teinte blond foncée et j’ai bien aimé l’utiliser. Je n’ai toutefois pas eu les résultats escomptés, considérant que ma repousse était beaucoup trop foncée comparativement à ma couleur.

Après l’avoir utilisé, j’ai définitivement vue une différence au niveau de la teinte de ma repousse. Elle était un peu plus pâle, ce qui m’a permis de la « blender in » avec ma teinture. Mais comme mentionné auparavant, ma repousse était foncée et la démarcation était toujours visible.

Bref, ce produit a, sans aucun doute, un très bon pouvoir de couvrance.
Je peux également dire que ce produit couvre réellement les cheveux gris, ce qui peut parfois permettre d’espacer les teintures à la maison ou au salon. Il s’agit d’un excellent produit à garder à porter de la main et je le recommande à tous ceux ayant des repousses plus pâle à couvrir!!

root touch-up works wonders

I have tried SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER in dark blonde. I have used it twice now and can already see a difference in my root color. I would use this product in between dye jobs at the hair dressers. It would be good to have in a quick fix on those nights where you need to look good in a hurry.

Easy to use root retoucher

I was picked to try the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Blonde. I found it easy to use but would have liked to see more coverage overall. I feel like the darker shades might cover better than the lighter shades. I would likely try this again with the darker shade.

Time to try it

I #gotitfree to try part of the product review club. I got the dark blonde shade, matched well & also covered some grey hair I have. When your in a rush to touch up your roots or don't have time to get your hair done or money, this is a quick & easy way to colour your hair on a temporary basis. I found it took well to my hair,did not feel sticky ( only applied a small amount) pleasant smell & washed out nicely.

Darken than pictured

The pictures of the colors this matches on the bottle are quite light. However, when I sprayed it it comes out fairly dark, darker than expected; but it does say dark blonde. My natural color is dark blonde and it matched fairly well but I am highlighted to honey blonde, like the can shows, and it was much darker and covered my hair color.
If you are a dark blonde to light brown this would work great but if you are medium blonde or highlighted it will likely be too dark.
Definitely good coverage and felt similar to dry shampoo.
Do not go by the pictures listed but by name
