    Looks Good

Lovely packaging and the “dent” design of the lip stain is certainly unique.

I found the application very easy with the lip stain gliding across my lips. I didn’t find it tacky.
The color has a slight hint of brown and suited my skin perfectly. It should be noted that I have very pale skin.

I was surprised by how little transfer there was even after a few minutes. The scent is yummy and the finish is matte.

    Has a lovely cakey aroma

While the colour has a hint of brown that makes it a tiny bit darker than I normally like my lip colours, overall it's a pretty good lip lacquer. I'd say rather than being a lip lacquer though, it's more of a liquid lipstick. the texture, how it dries and the 'flatte' (Full and matte?) finish are really similar to those I've used in the past. In fact, the only reason to remove a star is that it doesn't last a particularly long time. I don't generally need a long-lasting lipstick, but if you do, this probably won't be right for you. I also don't like that they describe it as 'Wears all-day/all night/all the time/long time', this is just blatantly not true.

It lasts longer if you leave it to 'dry' for fifteen minutes after application, but even then it still is easily removed by liquids and even touching your hand or a tissue to your lips you can see a good amount of colour come off. It doesn't really bother me as I prefer a lipstick that absorbs naturally, but if you want a look that stays all day, this probably won't do the trick.

I really love the matte look and how it's more of a subtle colour than in your face. It doesn't dry out lips either. It's not super moisturising like a lip balm would be, but it definitely doesn't dry out your lips like some liquid lipsticks. I imagine this colour would look even better on slightly darker skin tones than mine (I am extremely pale) as it's sort of a petal colour that leans more towards brown than peach.

Like the other Smith and Cult lippie I tried, this smells incredible and has that lovely cakey aroma. Yum.
