    Fun

Yes my son is 11, but he still had fun. He wants to play the game with his younger cousins when he sees them next. He thought it was cute and so did I. It may be for kids a bit younger but we both had fun. He thought it was funny when I lost. He is looking forward to playing it again. I recommend it for younger children, but he will still enjoy it for a little bit. He likes that it brings us together to have fun and laugh.

Get game to play with the kids

The Soggy Doggy Board Game is a cute and is a great game to introduce colors and numbers to young children while spending time together. Within minutes of removing all the game from the package and installing the three double A batteries we were ready to play. The suspense of waiting for the soggy doggy to shake was the best part. My niece's laugh was priceless. Although, it is a fun game it would keep the kids interested longer if the shaking doggy would actually shake the water far enough to sprinkled the players with water.

I received the Soggy Doggy Board game for free for my honest review.

Kids Loved It...Could Use Some Improvements Though

My kids absolutely loved this, "Showering, Shaking, Wet Dog Game"! Their favorite part was washing the doggy, of course. The actual game board is bright with vibrant colors and well made to withstand the water. The directions were also very easy to follow for my two kids who are both under 7 years old. We were all a little disappointed with how little the doggy actually shakes though. The game is best played on a hard surface that can withstand water or on a towel...not because the doggy shakes so much water, but because the shower head doesn't line up over the doggy's head very well and the water runs down onto the game board a bit. The only other weird thing that I experienced was when I washed and rinsed the doggy before first use, as per the instructions, his main "fur" got a little sticky (for lack of a better word) and clumped together a bit. It didn't affect playing the game at all, but it felt weird and I'm not sure how well Soggy Doggy will hold up with regular play. I have recently seen this game on sale for $14.99, which I feel would be a good value. Despite any of my reservations on the game, my kids think it's a lot of fun! I received this game for free for review purposes, but all opinions are my own.

    It's a cute game

This is a cute game for kids. My 8 year old loves how cute and shaggy the dog looks. It's super easy and quick to set up. It can get a little messy, so I recommend placing something underneath to prevent water leaks. The instructions are so simple too. It requires very little water too. It's a very colorful board and the game pieces are adorable. You simply roll the dice and move your game piece to the color the dice rolls on. The space you land on has a number and you turn the knob as many times as it says. Be careful or the dog starts shaking and starts shaking water everywhere. It teaches children to count, learn their colors and to take turns. Although the concept is good, it needs some improvements. The knows tend to get stuck at times. It was a disappointment that the dog doesn't really shake as much as we expected and mostly just gets water in the tub. Other then that, it's a fun little game.
I received this game free to test and review. All opinions are my own and based on my experience with it.

Wanted to like this a lot more

I was invited to try this game for free for my honest opinion so here goes...The instructions are very clear and assembly was easy so that’s a plus. Doesn’t take much water to fill the game so it doesn’t make that big of a mess. Game play was fun to start with, everyone chooses their token and youngest goes first, which I always think is fair in young kids games. The object of the game is basic but fun and in my opinion also educational, teaching colors and numbers ...but when you get down to the actual “excitement” factor that my kids and myself were so excited for it was kid of a let down. The knobs are wobbly and when you do actually get to the “shaking” part it was a let down...it does more of a dribble from the tub and not the splatter from the dog itself. Compared to the hype and the ads I’ve seen it just doesn’t compare to my family’s expectations of a quality board game.

    Getting wet indoors

It was kind of hard to teach my son how to play, but after trial and error we finally got to play the game. In the beginning after getting wet the first time unsuspected he got really scared and didn't want to play anymore, but I told him it was ok and then I showed him me getting wet he got very happy. I wouldn't say say this is a game for four year old because it was hard for my son to first get how to play but ever child is different. The game took about an hour to an hour and half but it was ever fun to play this is great during the holidays or summer, getting wet without getting all of your body wet and leaving wet spots everywhere. The clean up was very simple one thing you would have to remember to do after play to make sure the dog is fully dry so no mold would start happen. I did receive this product free to try out

Fun game and easy to play

We received this game last night and my kids could not wait to play it. So after dinner we put in 3 AA batteries and one cup of water. The game is pretty easy to understand. The color dye makes it a plus for young kids who do not know their numbers. It is a little messy but not as bad as I expected, just keep a towel handy. We did have fun seeing if the dog would shake or not and who would have to go back to start. All in all this is a great game for kids.

    Great for younger children

This game arrived last night and I had to review it by today, so the family was a bit rushed, but this was a fun way to end a work day/school night. It didn't take long to set up and read the instructions. Be sure to have 3 AA batteries and a phillip's head screwdriver on hand. You will also need a cup of water. We played on the kitchen table and it wasn't overly messy. I just kept a towel nearby. I love that you can roll the die and even young children can play because you just land on the color. The doggy is cute and great for sensory kids because it feels squishy. My youngest was worried about getting splashed, mostly because she was tired. My eldest was disappointed because he didn't get soaked (he's 11). The kids pointed out that the roll again '?' on the die was not necessary because it doesn't really contribute to the game. All-in-all it was a quick little game, well suited for pre-school through third grade. My big kids (9 and 11) are young at heart so they too will clamor to play.

    Fun for the kids

I got to test the game Soggy Doggy in exchange for a review. The game is cute and very fun for the kids. My 2-year-old & 6-year-old loved it. You roll a multi-colored die to go around the board. If you land on a bone you have to turn the handle 1 or 2 clicks. If you land on a paw you have to spray the dog 1 or 2 times. If when turning the handle the soggy doggy shakes off the water you go back to start. First player back to start by going around the board wins. My husband wasn't crazy about the game as it gets very wet and messy. The next time we play we will have to put a towel down to play. Other than that is easy to play, very cute, and fun for the kids!

    Pretty fun game!

I received this game for free in exchange for my review and it was pretty fun! Such a cute concept. The only issue I had was that my husband had to tighten the screw where the post is because the Soggy Doggy wasn't shaking properly. All in all it was a fun game and I look forward to many more family game nights with this on the table!
