Honestly, it kinda sucks.

I had a girl in Walmart recommend me Splat hair dye. At the time, I was looking at Manic Panic. She told me it was amazing and wouldn’t fade out, So i got a nice and bright box of purple hair dye from splat. I went home, and dyed my hair. The colour came out very nice and vibrant... Until i washed it. The colour almost immediately washed out. I was left with a purple-y blonde colour. I was so disappointed. I would never use splat hair dye again.

Fair Product, But Doesn't Last Long

I've bought several different types of hair dye from this brand. One of the first products I tried was the "Ocean Ombre" kit. Once the hair was dyed as directed, the colors washed out after about a week of regular showering. I've died my hair many times, and this was the first dye that washed out so quickly. I've used the "Washables" hair color for my daughter's crazy hair days, and it works generally well for random hair fun. I've also been regularly using Splat "Rebellious Colors - Midnight Amethyst". Again, the color doesn't last very long, maybe a month, and needs to be reapplied often, but the color effect is great! It works well on light or dark colored hair. If you don't mind reapplying every month or so, for the cost and the color effect you get, it's worth it.

Longest lasting vibrant hair colour

Splat hair colour kits are the way to go if you're going for a vibrant look. The kit comes with bleach to lighten your hair and the colour. I personally use Luscious Raspberries (not 100% sure but I think the colour has been discontinued) it's the best vibrant hair dye brand out there due to it's long lasting effects. I cant even bleach the colour out of my hair, that's how good Splat is.

Amazing hair dye

I always use this brand for hair dye not only is it affordable but it gives you amazing coverage I just dyed my hair almost 2 months ago and my pink hair is still vibrant and shiny and the color lasts longer than many other hair dyes. I highly recommend this product.

Bright color even on dark hair. (Purple and red)

Once application techniques are conquered, this is an easy, fun product. I use it on myself and my kids. We all enjoy being unique. Its fades at a good slow pace. The down side is the color runs with sweat or contact with water.

Pink fetish

I've used splat pink fetish quite a few times, I'm never disappointed and I get lots of compliments. I love the fact that it's bleaching and colour all in one box. Very good value for money.

The color u want

It makes you feel invincible and increasable when u choose the color or even colors they make you how u see yourself in the mirror or what u want others to see I highly recremend this product

Love the color

The color is absolutely amazing. It leaves hair looking soft and vibrant looking while not making it look or feel dead or like straw. Color lasts a long time and I get nothing but compliments on it whenever I use it.

FINALLY a red head once again

I had been struggling with getting my once bright bold red hair colour back after a DIY hair dye DISASTER. I was skeptical about using splat as I was scared to bleach my hair. I am so glad that I did.

The bleach kit lightened my hair to a light orange-yellow color (my hair was very heavily died dark red) ,so I was pleased with the lightening results. I then applied the red direct dye and was instantly excited to see my bright bold red hair reappear.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a drastic change. It's a great product!

I was unsure of trying a store brand box of color, but I decided to try it. I bought purple desire. Followed directions from the box and applied to hair. Washed in cold water so that I didn't lose too much dye. Dried my hair as usual and to my surprise, I loved it. It was pretty close to the box color except better. It's deep and oh it smells like grapes. There's no nasty smell! I will definitely be trying this brand out again. Suggest that you cover everything you don't want color on, as it really stains. It's very hard to get it off counters, sinks, and bath mats. Wear something you won't care if it gets stains on. I had to clean my tub with bleach as there was a slight tint leftover from my wash. Lastly if you get it on your skin, use some castille soap or just be sure to put Vaseline on face edges prior to application.
