This is my first mp3 player. I'd always thought I might like a small device that could be used while exercising, but I've hesitated to buy one because I wasn't sure how much I'd actually use it. The Zune feature that pushed me over the edge is the FM radio, which made the device too attractive not to try out. I'm extremely happy that I made the plunge and bought the Zune. I now take it everywhere and listen to music or the radio at work, on the bus, at the gym, everywhere. It has easily surpassed my bar of usefulness and utility. I'm not a big gadget person and I don't like the time and energy it takes to figure out how to use a new program or game, but the Zune user experience has been everything that I could have hoped for. The controls are simple and a pleasure to use. Right out of the box I was able to get it figured out and working. This is a great device.

I recently purchased the Microsoft Zune 8 GB in black from Future Shop. The 8 gb holdes up to 2000 songs, 50,000 pictures, or 24 hours of video. Although it is very different from my previous mp3 player (iRiver Clix), it has great functions and definitely surpasses my expectations. It was very easy to install and upload all my songs onto the player. It does, however, take time to get used to its software program. Unlike previous MP3 players I had, the Zune doesn't have a drag and drop application system. It automatically uploads the songs from the music folders. I personally find this way easier and more efficient because of its touch controls. Its functional and very user-friendly. The best part is that its wifi accessible! The songs can be transferred directly from the computer without any cords. The downside of it is it comes with really buldgy earphones which keeps coming off my ears because its so damn big! The 80 gb player has a more comfortable earphones that just sticks into the ears, but I'm stuck with the big ones for now. Nevertheless, I'm really really liking this player! TAKE THAT APPLE!

The Microsoft Zune is the newest addition to mobile media players. A slick graphical interface within a lightweight, super-slim design.

I got my Zune in the mail to review before they've been released in Canada! And, currently many online reviewers, who also have gotten a sneak preview of the device, are quick to state the Zune's downfalls.

I on the other hand, have been an iPod user, a minidisc user, a sony-ericsson w810i phone with integrated 1GB mp3 player, and so on. Out of all of those devices, I like my Zune the best.

The 8GB capacity of this tiny device is suitable enough to play over 2,000 songs, 25 hours of video or over 25,000 images. The crystal clear screen has impeccable definition for only 1.5" and I've used it daily to watch downloads of my favorite tv shows and movies. Perfect for the gym, it's like having a personal tv available at all times! If you have Microsoft Media Centre, then record tv shows and upload them to your Zune and hit the road. So easy!

Besides the ability to play video and music, the Microsoft Zune can wirelessly transmit files to other Zune users and wirelessly connect your wireless home network. The Zune allows you to share your music with friends, family and even with your Xbox360 (it can change in game soundtracks to your choice).

Any files you receive from friends that may be protected WMA content, Microsoft's Zune will allow you a 3 play trial of the song before disabling it. A feature not currently available on most iPods.

If you want more content, head over to the Zune Marketplace where art, tv, movies, games and music are available to download. The Zune community is interestingly supportive of the arts community. Many of the art available for laser cut faceplates and back ground images are created by emerging artists. Zune has even gone to put together an exhibit of over 27 Zune Art artists to showcase their work.

With easy to use touch controls, a slick graphical interface, incredible art that supports emerging artists, an integrated FM Radio, podcast player, easy file sharing and the ability to play a wide range of media on a tiny 1.7 ounce that is only 8.5mm thick is astounding.

I've even found a way to read books on my Zune. I tell you, is there anything this device can't do?

    I love my Zune!
