I have to be honest, when I first received these dryer balls I wasn't too sure about them. They had a distinctly...let's say sheepy scent. As a town girl I was definitely not used to or aware that wool had a stench to it! Nevertheless, I plodded on and did a load of laundry or two. I have to admit I didn't notice a huge difference in drying time, but this could be because I was already using homemade aluminum dryer balls.

Where the sheep's wool dryer balls are a huge improvement are in the static lifting abilities. Even with my aluminum balls I would zap the cats mercilessly, but after using the sheep's wool balls I noticed a huge difference! No more torturing my poor kitties. Aluminum foil balls also get smaller when used, meaning you have to replenish them all the time which can be costly. Whereas these have no reduction in size or efficiency after using them. Apparently they'll last 1000 washes!

And thankfully, for my sensitive noses sake, they did not transfer the sheepy smell to my clothes. I even tried the trick of adding some essential oil, so now everything smells (literally) like roses.

    Pros:

    - Reduces static hugely.
    - Can be reused for 1000 washes.
    - Suitable for sensitive skin and babies.
    - Cats like the sheep smelling bag.
    - Can use essential oils to add scent.

    Cons:
-Sheepy lanolin smell can be a little alarming at first.

I will definitely repurchase these when this batch runs out as it's so much handier than making your own again and again and again.

If anyone is looking for a nice #natural alternative to dryer sheets, I'm using wool balls by timber wool. They decrease the drying time up to 20% and my favourite part is you can add your favourite essential oils to give your clothing a subtle smell of deliciousness! Great for allergies and I personally will be storing one with coconut scent in my drawer :)
