I bought this when it was on sale and thought I'd give it a try after hearing so many positive things about it... I personally didn't like it very much. The only thing I liked about it was that it has a delicious cocoa butter scent that lingers on the skin for an hour or so.
The lotion is very runny and leaves some greasy residue on my skin. It doesn't absorb very fast at all. The moisture content in this lotion is minimal, I just use it during the summer when my skin doesn't need very much extra care. But in the winter this lotion does nothing for me.
I love love love cocoa butter based products, so this one was a no brainer for me. Plus Vaseline products are always relatively inexpensive and they work so it's a good buy.
Surprisingly, I would compare the effectiveness to brands much more expensive than this one: Garnier's 7 day Intensive cocoa butter works about the same as this one and for about a 1/3 of the cost.
This product is ok . I felt like it was effective but when I apply the product in myself it's starts to stink later . It's not the greatest but not the worst
After reading the reviews here I thought of trying it, so i bought it and tried for month. But unfortunately it didn't work for type of skin. Although if you have dry skin it works and if you have super dry skin it is not so effective. Smells good.
this is the only body lotion i use. it has a very light scent and goes on nice and smooth.
i find it helps my tan last longer, and it hydrates your skin in the harsh winter months.
I reccommend this to anyone with any skin type.
Vaseline Cocoa butter is a thick cream and I love using it before I go to sleep. It's perfect to put on if you want to wake up with soft and silky skin. This lotion has a natural smelling scent that isn't like other really fragrancy lotions. It's for people that just want something for dry skin. The lotion is very thick, so the silky feeling lasts for hours.
As the winter came, my skin began to change, so me being the lotion loving person that i am thought i would give this a try. I should have saved the 3-something dollars that i spent on this. Maybe it's just my skin, but it really doesn't moisturuze good enough for me. I am a person who washes her hands all the time and skin conditioning is very important to me, and this lotion does NOT fit the bill. If you don't like ashy skin, then leave this one alone.
