Had an amazing online grocery shopping experience

Online shopping has always been my preferred way of buying things for the convenience it offers, variety of products to choose from and the amazing discounts popping up every now and then.
Right from clothes, hair straighteners to phones and TV, I've shopped them all with a few clicks. So, when I got the chance to try out the recently launched #VoilabySobeys @sobeys I was thrilled.

Especially in times like these, when safety comes first I decided to give online grocery shopping a try.

Not a big fan, over priced.

I tried using my voila code and was super excited to do so.
They had some cool options to pick food from Farm Boy, Sobeys, Challo and Well.ca
I was looking forward to placing my order.
While shopping the first thing I realized that things are SUPER over-priced. Once I was done, I looked at my cart and had 27 items for over $100....and most of it was vegetables and fruits.
Then trying to check out MANY of my items were not available for the date I wanted delivery. So I changed the date multiple times and still the same issue- items not available for time slot chosen.
So I gave up. It's unfortunate but it was not worth the money or the time.
I think they need to really look at the prices and ensure items are available. Nevertheless, I probably wouldn't try this again to face disappointment once again.

Thanks to @chickadvisor I was able to try Voila by Sobeys, @voila.ca. I received a $25 discount as part of product review club offer, when you spend $100 or more, in return for my honest review.

I was really impressed with their service, my groceries arrived fresh and on time as promised. The delivery guy called a head to let me know that he is 10mins away and asked for instructions on where I would like him to leave my groceries (on my door step) for contactless delivery 🚚 📦

Upon arrival the driver let me know that all my items was completed and at the right temperature. They do temperature check on items, to ensure that all items are at the correct temperature upon arrival. Bonus!

Placing my order and selecting a time slot, was so easy. They have lots of items available and easy to find. I like how they let you know when an item is out off stock before adding it to your cart. You also have access to groceries items from farm boy, Chalo!FreshCo, Well.ca not only Sobeys. Which is a huge bonus! Having all your groceries done in one place from all your favourite grocery store.

Overall I love my experience with Voila.ca, it’s definitely a service I will be using a lot more, off in the future. If you haven’t try Voila by Sobeys, highly recommend that you try. You will be impressed!

Pretty good grocery delivery service

I received a coupon For $25 to try out this new grocery delivery service. Site was easy enough to work through to select the products I wanted. You select a date and time for delivery and place your order. The site advises that you can update or change your order up to a designated date and time. This is not true or at least not for me. I went in to update my order and the system appeared to accept it as the total owing was adjusted. I received a phone call saying the driver was 10 minutes away. Very nice touch. Everything was delivered as per the original order. Frozen items and all were at the proper temperature. Great feature. Thisis a fairly new service so there may be some bugs to be worked out with placing your order and then adjusting it within the designated time.

Voila was great. The food arrived the next day, on time, within the 1 hour window. It was great to get grocey delivery so quick. The driver was super nice. The truck was refrigerated. He told me the food is picked by a robot and everything is super clean. I thought it would be only food from Sobeys, but I saw that Farm Boy food was there as well which is my favourite grocery store. The food I ordered was cold and SO fresh, even the vegetables and fruit. Actually more fresh than food in an actual Sobeys store. I will 100% order from them again. I don't drive, the delivery fee was reasonable so it makes sense. Thanks for the $25 off coupon so I could try this service I will be using again and again.

Can you say Voila?!

Voila is a super easy to use website for ordering groceries. It was easy to find everything I was looking for unless it was sold out. They had great sales to shop and it is all split into proper categories. The cost for shipping on an order is also super reasonable. All groceries came bagged in its category of frozen, cold, or pantry. The delivery person was super friendly and polite. It was a nice change.

Convenient but expensive

This was my very first time ordering groceries to my home - I've never done home delivery before. The Voila website was easy to navigate and had a nice selection of products to choose from. I did some research and apparently the fulfillment centre employs robots to pick out your groceries, which then send them to human workers who bag them and ship them out. I really like that there is limited human contact with the groceries I'm ordering, which during the pandemic is reassuring.
I'm hesitant however to shell out the $7.99 delivery fee - a cost which over time adds up to a huge extra expense for the convenience of avoiding visiting stores. On top of that, Sobeys prices are higher than other similar retailers. It'll save me a lot more money to make a trip to Metro or Loblaw for the same products. So, this service is not for me, but I can see the appeal.

Fantastic New Delivery Service!

I received a discount for this service in exchange for my honest opinion. Sign up was easy and the delivery time I wanted was available. It was very easy to add items to shopping cart.
More selection in the future would be a great idea. I was somewhat disappointed that one or two items were out of stock when I was checking out.
The delivery was on time and the delivery person was polite and very helpful. He called ahead to notify exactly at what time he was coming.
Everything was excellent quality. The driver also advised that everything was as ordered and there were no substitutions.

Many items were well before expiry dates which is wonderful. Everything was fresh and there were no issues at all with any of the products. I will definitely use this service again. It was convenient and efficient. Wonderful service!

Game-Changing Service

Voila is an outstanding grocery delivery service that was very easy to use. The site was straightforward and many products that I normally use were available and in stock. There was a fair amount of grocery items that were on special as well. The driver was professional, called before his arrival, explained the contact-less delivery and quality control being used. Groceries arrived on time, packed well and appropriately refrigerated/frozen. I ordered dairy products and fish items that were packaged superbly. Will definitely recommend to anyone and will be using again.

Fabulous grocery delivery system

I have never shopped on line for groceries so I was eager to try Voila after hearing the radio ads. From start to finish this service was great. It was easy to use the website and place my order online. There were some good prices and sale items. The delivery process was really easy, just picked an hour delivery window and the day before I was given an accurate (within minutes,) delivery time and a call from the delivery person to say they were just at the door. Social distancing and COVID protocols strictly observed as well. The delivery person was incredible polite, knowledgeable and explained how the products were packed and transported; refrigerator items in green handle bags and pantry items in others to help with unpacking. The temperature of the fridge items were explained and were at a better temp than if I went myself to buy the products and bring them home. I did not order a lot of produce but the ones I did were incredibly fresh and tasty. You do pay a fee for the convenience of delivery but when you factor in your time, convenience, cost to drive or public transit etc. it is a decent charge. Although I haven't tried other stores delivery services, I have heard of not so great experiences (and delivery windows that were 3 weeks away,) from neighbors so... GREAT job Voila! And thanks Chick Advisor for the opportunity and the discount to discover a new way to shop.
