Your lashes but better

Seeing some pictures previously I was nervous going in, but I was very easily able to create the lashes I love with volume and length but avoiding a heavy and clumpy look. I don’t normally purchase waterproof mascara, not for any particular reason, but I am very pleased with the no smudging and minimal flaking (like 3 specks clearly from times I rubbed my eyes based on location.) This wore very well and my lashes stayed up and perky all day long. This easily washed off with my oil based balm makeup remover, but stayed put all day through watery eyes due to a lingering cough. A nice dark true black gave me the falsie look I desire.

Not my favourite

There are pros and cons to this mascara, however for me the cons outweighed. I was not a fan of how bulky the brush was - not to hold and not to apply. The handle and brush were just massive and I found I couldn't get a good application to my lashes. It felt like I brushed my lashes 20x to achieve a barely there look. I don't want to work that hard for a tinted lash. Now for the pro, which was the waterproof aspect. That it truly is! I applied in the morning, spent the majority of the day sweating in my sunny backyard and it didn't budge. It didn't budge in the shower either. Not a single smudge. You will need a good oil based eye makeup remover for this bad boy. It was also flake free and there were no clumps.

Great formula, but applicator is too big

The longevity and smoothness of this formula is amazing. I had it on for hours and never it flaked off. I had to use an oil based cleanser to remove it! So I was surprised with how well it held up. My only issue is I have fairly small eyes, so the applicator was slightly too big for my taste. It was hard to get into the inner and outer corners due to how long the bristles were. But if big brushes are your preference, then this mascara hits all the marks!

J'ai vraiment aimé le mascara. Il donne un très beau volume ainsi qu'une longueur aux cils. Sa tenue est excellente et il est facile à démaquiller. Je le recommande.

Luxe take on a true waterproof formula

I have a pretty standard routine and preference when it comes to my daily makeup application. Even after trying almost every mascara out there, I always come back to a few selected tried and true products. So, naturally, I was skeptical to try out yet another mascara which I figured would inevitably lead to fretting over raccoon eyes all day. I don’t say it often, but…I was way off the mark on this one - the Lash Clash Waterproof Mascara from YSL Beauty knocked it out of the park! Even after marching outside in the rain-snow blend that is the hallmark of early spring, my mascara didn’t budge an inch. When YSL claims that this mascara is action-proof (including sauna-proof!), they aren’t messing around. This is absolutely going to be the go-to mascara for days when I need true waterproof mascara in my life. It also doesn’t compromise on volume at the expense of longevity, either. The double conical brush is large and in charge, baby! And somehow that’s not all – the formula is enriched with a hair conditioning agent to help protect lashes. The lift and separation were also great, which I’m very picky about. The only downside about this mascara comes at the end of the night: it’s undoubtedly a lot of work to fully remove it from your eyes. I typically use an oil cleanser on my dry face, rinse, follow up with a cream cleanser in the shower, and then wipe my face with a makeup removing cloth. This tends to do the trick but there’s occasionally a bit of residue left behind, which I usually handle with a facial milk lotion and a reusable cotton round.  All around, this mascara far exceeded my expectations and adds a nice touch of luxe to my makeup routine.

So so good: very expensive

I love this mascara. Best one I’ve tried in a long time. It makes my lashes so long, without being heavy and they stay lifted all day.
I honestly wish I didn’t like this so much cause it like $40 🙃 but @ysl did not mess around with this mascara. It instantly lifts my lashes, making them look longer and thicker (and this is one coat). Plus it’s not heavy. I love it.

Pricey- yes but it’s also higher end so expected. This mascara is a big yes for me. Instant confidence booster.

Lengthening & waterproof

I recently received the YSL Lash Clash Mascara as a free product to review. Upon testing it out, I was pleasantly surprised. I have always struggled with my eyelashes and have tried out many of the mascaras out on the market. As someone with short, straight, blonde eyelashes, I look for a mascara that is easy to use, adds length, and doesn't clump up right away. After one coat, my eyelashes had lengthened, and after curling them, then applying another coat, they were looking great! I highly recommend this mascara.

Great Waterproof Mascara

I’ve been looking for a great waterproof mascara with spring rain and summer pool time coming up! I received the YSL Lashclash mascara to try out for free via Butterly. I’m very happy with this mascara! It goes on easily and quickly, providing great coverage and volume. I let it dry for a couple minutes to prevent smudging under the lower lashes. No issues with clumping. I’ve been impressed with the waterproof aspect so far, it definitely stays put :) It’s a little more challenging to remove than non-waterproof mascara, but that is to be expected! My usual remover did the job. Bring on the pool parties!
