Favourite Colour and Formula’

I am a huge fan of this formula. The hydration of an oil but in a convenient lipstick formula. It has a sheer pigment but you can build it up if you want. I find that it’s super hydrating and that my lips look plump even though there is no plumper in it. This is my favourite colour that YSL makes, I have it in many of their lipstick formulas.

YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Lipstick is a lip oil that applies like a lipstick. It goes on smoothly and makes my lips feel very hydrated without feeling sticky at all. Shade 44 Nude Lavalliere is a beautiful deeper pink colour. It makes my lips look very shiny and juicy. I also love the buildable colour and shine. The lipstick packaging is also very beautiful.

Not a favorite for my skin tone

Its soft and smoth. Beautiful packaging. This tone was a little too light for my skin tone though. Still if you want a natural barely there lipstick definitely go this route!

Beautiful color. Love how great it feels. The color is a beautiful darker shade of nude. The packaging is beautifuly design. It feels luxury when you put it on your lips.

I love a good lippie!

I have a pretty decent collection I think, so I was absolutely thrilled when Butterly and YSL sent me the YSL LoveShine lipstick in Nude Lavallière (Shade 44) for free to try!!

This lipstick is quite unique as it is actually described as a lip oil stick vs a lipstick. This is because it is a wet shine lipstick that essentially transforms from a lipstick to a lip oil upon application.

It boasts 24-hr hydration and water loss prevention, while nourishing the lips. It utilizes an enriched formula with fig pulp from the YSL Ourika gardens and 6 pure oils, it promises to leave lips visibly softer and healthier.

This lipstick is just gorgeous, the texture is so special as it glides on easily. The colour is buildable and the wet shine is stunning. This colour (shade 44) is a beautiful pink with almost a Barbie pink note to it.

While I love a good lippie I am admittedly bad at reapplication, I usually stick to a transfer proof and long wear option to keep me looking fabulous throughout the busyness of the day. This lipstick surprised me in this regard, while I did have to reapply throughout the day it wasn’t that often and I found that the colour itself created a stain like effect so while I reapplied, it never really looked like I had worn through my lipstick. This is huge for me as I am in back to back meetings all day, drinking coffees and have little to no time to reapply.

I have found my lips to be softer and healthier since using this lipstick, the improvement was noticeable after just a couple of days too.

Glossy hydrated lips

I absolutely love how moisturising these make my lips. They are not so much transfer proof, but these lipsticks are perfect for all seasons. Just reapply as needed.

Pretty shade but not deeper tone friendly

The lipstick glides on very smooth but I didn’t find it deeper tone friendly, it looks ashy. You could probably pair it with another deeper color to balance out the ashy accents in it. :)

My new Favourite

I'm so glad I got a chance to try this for free! It applies slick and it has a very pretty shine to it. The smell is also lovely without being too over powering. I also love that the formula dries into the lips without the drying out the lips. This is more of colour I would use year round and has a bit of a rosy colour I think would be complimentary to a lot of skin tones

Beautiful shade

I haven't worn lip sticks in years because it's been hard to find one that can keep my lips hydrated. But after 5 years of using tinted lip glosses I finally found lip stick that would keep my lips soft and supple
