Ladies & Gentlemen, Children of all ages...
WELCOME TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!!!

In myy opinion, Ringling Bros. IS the circus. I had the opportunity this past weekend to take my children to the show here in Nashville after my mother bought tickets from a friend who's daughter got sick and they couldn't attend. WOW! We got 2nd row seats for $15 each.... and the lady paid nearly $45 a piece for them from TicketMaster. I was so excited to experience this with my kids, husband, and my mother. I hadn't been to Ringling Bros since I was about 9 years old. I do remember is being amazing!

Barnum's Funundrum is the theme of this scheduled tour and consists of acts based from all countries around the world so that the audience can experience many different cultures. I thoroughly enjoyed the multicultural aspect of the entire show.

My first impression when walking into the arena was immediate excitement. They had the usual flashy and fun souveneir booths to purchase light swords, stuffed animals, tshirts, ect. Of course they were extremely over priced but my spoiled son got something from my mom... a $20 sword!!! It's cool, don't get me wrong, but for that price, yikes! However, he loves it and has played with it every day since. Not to mention my 2 month old daughter enjoys the lights on it as well.

Now, on to our seats!!! When we arrived they the circus floor open to the audience to try on clown costumes and take pictures, pet and ride elephants, other games, and you could even enter to win elephant art! If you have never seen or heard of elephant art, its quite spectacular. Elephants are literally given a paintbrush and away they go. However, purchasing this art is close to $400!!! I didn't have a chance to enter to win, but I sure wish I had.

As soon as we got to our seats they began cleaning up the pre-show and had clowns doing the usual small entertainment during this time. One of the clowns (who was extremely nice) came to greet my children. This was especially great because my son is terrified of clowns but after meeting this nice fella, he turned to me and said "Mommy, the clowns ARE nice. I like him!". He also informed me that I could go to Ringling.com and sign my infant up for the baby club and they get something special. So I did that, and guess what?!? You can a free ticket for your baby for any time, any where, absolutely no expiration date!!! So I can use it when she is 3 if I want (which I will do because ages 2 and under get in free)! This is sooo cool. Go do it!

Then it was time for THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH to begin! The ringmaster was fantastic, as was his little sidekick, who was entertaining during the whole show!

The circus train came roaring through with lots of music, and getting to see all of the acts that would be performing! This was really fun....

I can't even remember all of the acts but I will certainly share some of our favorite moments....

The Torres Family did the amazing motorcycle ball with 7 bikes.... yes 7!!! It was awesome! My son especially enjoyed this...

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in The Flying Caceres. They must have been having a bad night because twice, the guy hanging upside down, did not catch the other person! I'm sure they aren't always perfect though!

Might Meetal was great! He held over 1200 lbs!!!! My husband was in awe as this man balanced all of this weight!

We especially loved the extremely balancing acts. It was mind bending to watch this people balance, and bend in such unatural ways!

There is sooooo much more to tell but I must leave something for you to see if you attend a show this year! I do recommend taking your children, however... don't pay the prices for the close seats. You can see just as well from a higher, less expensive seat.

Check the ticket requirements for ages at the venue as well... most places allow children under 2 to attend without a ticket, as long as they don't use a chair.

Check our their website at Ringling.com and go like them on FaceBook as well!
