value village is an awesome place to find absolute anything in varieties but I'm often pissed when I see the prices of their goods. they are highly overpriced most times. its sometimes cheaper to buy it from the main store when on sale or clearance than to buy it from the so-called thrift store, I think something needs to be done about their pricing or better still they should stop calling themselves a thrift store. for heaven sake, these goods were given to you freely.
it should be affordable for both the rich and not so rich. I once saw a used baby dress for $8 whereas I got the new one at the store for $4....

I use to love Value Village but they are no longer my go too. Can you say prices are sky high. I don't like the fact that they charge tax on top of their already high price. I only shop there on sale and even then its not even worth it. I normally end up with 1 or 2 pieces.

I have bought many things from value village. It is always good for shoes and books. It varies for clothes. Some I find much too expensive for what they are worth, but I actually prefer buying second hand. Makes a smaller ecological footprint.

I have found so many cute mugs and plates for my kitchen at Value Village as well. Generally, the cups and plates are VERY well priced. It is expensive buying things for your kitchen, so this will be the first place I look.

I like Value Village but have found that the prices have increased terribly it the last few years especially for a thrift store. I find that paying $10 for a pair of pants second hand when you can get one on sale new is a little bit odd to me. However, they have a wide selection. I like that it's well organized by sizes and colors. They also have lots of other stuff like toys, books, shoes, accessories, dishware, ect.

Now this company does help out with the community by donating. They also donate left over clothing to other Countries. So in a way it's a good cause. They do have a reward card now and sometimes have some great sale. I find that the customer service has always been excellent at my local Value Village.

I adore thrift shopping. I live in Alberta so I have several stores I visit often. It's where I go when I want to mindlessly wander and chill out. You can really find some awesome bargains if you look hard enough and are patient. I often find clothes or footwear brand new with tags. It's a great place to find little treasures too. Collectables or just something funky. I usually buy books there too. I always donate my gently used items when I get the urge to purge. You can collect stamps for up to 30% off your next purchase when you donate.
