This ring is from May 4th 1897. This was my great grandmothers engagement ring. She also didn't care for diamonds (or so I was told) Funny both Mother and daughter didn't care for diamonds. This ring is not the original setting. Since myself and my grandma hand a much bigger hand. I wear an 8.5 on my middle finger. My gma wore a size 2 i believe. Now Opals are not my favorite or they weren't one of them until I owed them.. This ring will be 120 yrs old on May 4th 2017. Correction some of the gold and the Opals. Again I wish I could take a better picture. I received this ring along with the other one. I never met this gma.. LOVE LOVE LOVE
