Better quality than other inexpensive rain coats, it has features that even more expensive plastic compact rain coats just do not have. The length is longer with a shape that fits a bit closer to the body, which allows backpacks and bulky coats, but not wind. There are elastics on the sleeves to keep water out. The jacket goes on and closes using a series of snaps. There is a hood - and it can be cinched up using the cord. It is lightweight, but composed of medium duty plastic, which is not overly fragile like other inexpensive rain coats, and can be compressed to the size of a water bottle.
This rain coat has been through a lot in a year - and still looks new.
