Gillette Venus Embrace Razor

I received this razor in the Product Review Club. I've used this on in the past because I've received it in sample packages before. I like it for the first shave, but after that, I don't find it as effective. The blades seem to get duller earlier than some of the other razor heads. Also, I don't like the feel of the handle in my hand that much. But overall, it is a decent razor, just one that I wouldn't go out and buy for myself, unless it was on sale.

This is probably my favourite of all the razors I tried, next to the original. i like that it doesn't have the "soap" attached to it and is simple and easy to use and keep. The shave is nice and close, but I don't neccessarily think its much closer than the original blades.

I really liked the easy to open packaging and would definitely think about purchasing the replacement blades for this one!!

This is the second razor I tried from the Product Review Club. After using the Venus Spa, I have to admit, I prefer the Spa over this one.

What I like about this razor is that the packaging is easy to open and each cartridge is individually wrapped (for sanitary reasons). The handle feels really comfortable and the whole ensemble is lightweight and easy to use. It comes with a holder so I stick it on the shower wall and this allows the razor to dry properly between use. The 5 blades are nice and sharp and the razor works very well.

Unfortunately, I am a bit bias towards razor blades that come with extra bulky moisturizing strips. The Venus Spa has two big gel pads and it glided on my skin much more smoothly without having to apply any additional cream or soap. I found this Venus Embrace doesn't glide as well, especially on the underarm area. It works well as long as I apply shaving cream or soap on the skin before shaving (something I don't have to do with the Venus Spa).

I love this razor. I'm completely obsessed with bright coloured "accessories" for the bathroom, and this just fits right into that style. I love the fun colour.. I also love the way this razor shaves! It leaves your skin silky smooth, with no stubble. I have not nicked myself since using this razor, which is amazing. I love the Venus brand!

I love this product. I used to use cheap disposable razors but found they really irritated my skin. I noticed that these razors (the green ones) were on sale so I decided to try them...and I love them! I don't need to use shaving cream and they get a really close shave which is great. I love how smoothly they glide on my legs and they last a long time (mine last about three weeks to a month when I store them out of the shower). These razors can be a little pricey but they are definitely worth the price.
