There is nothing wrong with this brand itself overall, the problem is in fact with these specific peas. The canned ones have this weird watery taste the frozen ones are way better and not so mushy.

Next to Delmonte I believe Green Giant young sweet peas are the best on the market. I add them to salads and use as a side and I find them tender, not mushy and very sweet. My favorite thing is to put a stack of them on my hot chicken sandwich. Yum!
