Once you start coughing, sneezing or having to blow your nose, it is time to rinse your sinuses.
I was turned onto this process by my ENT specialist and he highly recommended it, even twice a day if needed.
If your cough is coming from nasal drip, it can be eliminated. If you use nasal sprays, using them right after a rinse makes them more effective as they can actually hit what they are aiming for (also a tip from the ENT doc).
Cleans out your sinuses - doesn't feel weird at all, it is quick. I feel like I have a new head afterwards - seriously, it's awesome, especially if you get sinus related headaches!
I can't say enough. I wish I had known about sinus rinsing years ago and the NeilMed squeeze bottle makes it super easy.

I had been suffering with a great deal of pressure around my sinuses, and finally had to go to the doctor. My doctor recommended me trying Neilmed Sinus Rinse (which kind of grossed me out at first) - so I decided to obey her orders. I'm so happy that I did! This absolutely worked miracles, and provided me with instant sinus relief.

My daughters pediatrician recommended I try this because I sounded like I had a cold. Turns out I just have bad allergies. He gave me one and I used it and loved it. It is very easy to use and clears your sinuses. It helped me stay clear and my allergies quit bothering me.

My doctor recommended that I try NeilMed Sinus Rinse to help clear out my sinuses. Just those words, Sinus Rinse, made me nervous. Rinsing out your sinuses? That sounds.....scary! However, since I suffer constantly with the feeling of pressure and inflammation in and around my sinus area, I thought it was worth a try.My sinuses feel clearer, and they are, because rinsing them out rids dust, pollen, animal dander, and other allergens that irritate the sinuses. Using the sinus rinse is also good for post nasal drip, congestion, dryness, nasal allergies and sinus problems, and the common cold. There are many benefits to this procedure. As soon as I begin to feel pressure in my sinuses, I use a sinus rinse. It really helps.

I started using this on the advise of my doctor and now can't imagine my life without this product. I suffer from a lot of environmental allergies...dust, pollen, mildew, pet dander, etc. I also seem to get a least two bad sinus infections in the winter that also develop into a nasty respiratory infection . Since I have started using this product regularly, my colds and sinus infections have been greatly reduced. I find if I use this at the end of the day before my shower it is the most effective, but I use it twice a day if my allergies are bad. Well worth trying this product if you have sinus problems.

This is really effective for allergies, colds and after any nasal surgery.I first learned about this after having a deviated septum surgery. Its so effective in cleaning out the sinuses.I have tried this bottle application and also the little blue neti pot version.I prefer this bottle application the best. It is a little bit more powerful at cleaning as you control how much you squirt in your sinus with squeezing the bottle. You can buy the packets of cleaning solution or making your own is very simple as well as its only ionized salt and baking soda.
You pour distilled(do not use tap water!) water into the bottle up to the line on the bottle and heat up in the microwave in 5 second timing until its lukewarm be careful! You don't want to burn your sinus.Add a package per nostril(so you will be making two solutions) shake it up holding the top so water doesn't squirt everywhere.Over the sink slightly tilt your head and slowly squirt the solution up your nostril the solution will drain in a stream from the other nostril. It may feel strange at first for some people however I find it very soothing.
I tend to get bad sinus headaches and sinus infections in the winter months and this is wonderful. When my nose is really stuffed with a head cold I will also add a few drops of essential rosemary oil and euculyptus. Afterwards my nose is stuffy for a short while and I tend to have to keep blowing my nose. Also very important make sure NOT to use this before bedtime, make sure its at least two hours before bed the earlier the better. There will be solution still in the sinuses so if you lay down it will all go down your throat which can be nasty....Also be careful if you bend over after using this because liquid will leak out.
It is very effective at cleaning out debris, dust etc from the sinuses.Neti pots have been around for a very long time and its so much better then squirting cortisone sprays up the sinus.

After flying home from Vegas and having my ear fill with liquid I was referred to an ENT in Edmonton, he said that my ear was severly retracted and that after putting a camera down my nose and ear that it looked like an allergic reaction combined with flying with sinus congestion. He suggested that I use the neilmed sinus rinse and add pulmicort steroid to the mix. I have not used any sort of nasal rinse before and didn't know how easy the process would be, it was quite easy just use warm water empty packet and remember to blow out while doing so otherwise you may swallow the solution, which is safe if you do but taste pretty yucky. I must say after losing my hearing for a few months and seeing how easy the fix was I was shocked.
This product is great for construction workers to clean out their nasal passage or just for anyone who wants to cleanse and moisturize, which results in fewer infections.
